Paloma

Bio: Born into an urban family of well-to-do criminals, for the majority of her life Paloma grew up thinking that conning people was, well, pretty okay and a normal way of life. However, as she grew older, her family's crime activities grew as well, and conning somehow escalated into kidnapping and first-degree murder. Neither Paloma nor her younger sibling were at all okay with this, and Paloma's little brother ended up running away from the family in his early teens. Paloma, however, took a different approach to her distaste, and spent the last years of her life at home gathering evidence on every crime her family committed. When she felt she had enough, she garnered up the courage to take it to the police and ended up sending pretty much her entire family to jail. (Harsh.) Say what you will about whether Paloma did the sane thing or not, but the event did kickstart her into popularity as her name hit tabloid magazines everywhere.

Using her newly-garnered fame as leverage and with little elsewhere to go, Paloma started on a path to becoming a private investigator. While she can be a bit bumbling and forgetful at times and certainly isn't a Sherlock Holmes, her past experience with crime gives her a major edge and many people hire her based on her somewhat shocking backstory. She's been working for about five to six years now officially and has taken any manner of cases from potential murders to stolen tubes of toothpaste.

Hobbies: Jigsaw puzzles, rock climbing, filling her apartment with scented candles

Relationships: Paloma is a socially awkward lone wolf, and most of her 'friends' are past clients inviting her over for dinner from time to time. One client that she's relatively well-versed with is Aria, a very rich kiamara who hired her during her son Tokala's temporary disappearance. Paloma is currently dating Carrie, an information broker perhaps even more averse to social situations than she is. Their relationship can be a bit odd to watch as Paloma communicates with Carrie in a seemingly clipped, professional manner only really suited for serious business, but Carrie finds it kind of adorable and gets along well with the PI.

Fun Fact: Despite often being compared to a traditional sangria, Paloma is staunchly anti-alcoholic.
