Devilish - Arrogant - Bold - Optimistic - Opportunistic - Assertive
Mischievous to the core and devilishly charming as can be, Cyrus is rather infamous among those who have met him. He is bold and arrogant in his heists, but when not causing mischief, tends to keep to himself. He's not afraid of speaking his mind or beliefs, and will stand up for what he believes is right. Don't let this front fool you though, the hoshibuki is a very neutral being, one who makes sure to tend to himself and his own health above others, excluding his friends. Cyrus's high ego and self esteem makes him rather intimidating to potential foes. He is known for petty theft, typically stealing from others whenever something catches his eye. He does however try to only take things that won't be missed for long, avoiding precious heirlooms and items with deep meaning to his victims. Nonetheless, there are some things that he can't resist, such as items that are of beautiful fiery orange colors. His most sought after prize is a honeycomb fire opal, which he has yet to find-- or steal. Cyrus often gets into trouble on his stealing escapades, but somehow, he always manages to weasel his way out of bad situations.
When he isn't causing minor chaos, he sets up a small home around a forest-snowcap region of the land, tending to be away from others like him since he causes so much trouble (not that many know he's a thief. He knows how to steal without getting caught). Cyrus only tends to approach communities as a travelling merchant, bartering off things he's 'found' for items and food that he prefers. He is a big fan of fish, honey and insect related cuisine.
For those who have managed to get close to Cyrus, he still remains a devilish handful, but he knows respect and boundaries, and honors them accordingly. Anyone who knows him could see he does have some care in his core for his comrades. (Though he might steal some food off his friends' plates if they leave him unattended!)
Likes: Sweet and Salty foods, unique plants and animals, the view of mountains, the rush he gets from stealing.
Dislikes: Bland foods, hot days, waking up early, getting dirty.
Hobbies/Skills: Martial arts, fishing, encasing items/wildlife in resin, woodwork.
One of Cyrus's only friends, Kuuro and him share a few common interests such as their passions for martial arts and fishing. When Cy isn't causing trouble to villages around him, he can be found hanging out with Kuuro. They tend to work out/practice their moves, as well as fishing together. Cyrus's carefree and impish behavior is a bit of a bad influence towards his comrade though, to the dismay of Rufus. Overall, he's fairly respectful to his friend, and thoroughly enjoys his presence.
Since Kuuro lives with Rufus, Cyrus has no choice but to have run ins with him. Rufus is one of the few beings that could ever intimidate Cyrus, even if just a bit. The hoshibuki seems to have a way of somewhat curving Cyrus's naughty behavior. This is especially due to the fact that Cyrus gets the occasional scolding from him. While Rufus isn't really a close friend like Kuuro, Cyrus and him get along alright. Rufus's ability to harvest the fruit of the unique and magnificent firebreath flower has always been a spectacle for Cyrus to experience, even if he hasn't seen it in person. Most often he is seen with Rufus when they are eating dinner together with Kuuro, or when Rufus allows him to help prepare spices from the bama fruit.
