Loubert Plock

Lou is my obligatory lawful good cinnamon roll with untapped potential who is tormented by his dark heritage.

He's a travelling mechanic and wizard by trade, going from one small settlement to another by bicycle and doing repair and tinkering work for money and supplies. Additionally he likes tinkering on his own stuff for fun, specialising in wizardry (physics magic) chanelled through gold and metalworked engineering, particularly his father's legacy of aviation.

Looplock is tormented by frequent nightmares where often his body changes shape or he is haunted by the events of his past, such as his parents' deaths, and wakes up to find himself actually changed in subtle ways. He can't shapeshift of his own volition though, and these changes usually fade within an hour.

Lou's mother Till was a bird-like woman connected to the so called Nightmother Bloodline; descendents of the eldritch Nightmother's warring sorceror sons. Lou's father Prometheus Plock came from a long line of wizards and witches, the opposing type of magic to sorcerors, so Lou is a genuine half-and-half between powerful Dim and Shine forces. His father had a brother, Icarus Plock, who is still alive but Lou is not aware of him.

Lou fears terribly his half-alien cousin Morris, having only heard awful hyperbolic stories from his mother, but has never met him.
