"Just make it worth my while!"

Daisuke Semushi is an assistant teacher at Ketsubutsu Academy High School, where he coaches gym classes for heroes-in-training. He is also a vigilante hero in his home city of Marasuta, operating under the alias "Ferry".

Personality

Daisuke is an even-tempered individual with an invigorating personality. His general enthusiasm and tolerance for all types of people makes him quite popular at Ketsubutsu amongst both the staff and the students, despite the fact that he only holds an assistant position. While he has a tendency to be self-centered, he tries not to let that come at the expense of others. He is dismissive of rankings (both for pro heroes and heroes-in-training) and downplays them to his students whenever possible, claiming them to be distracting and that anyone can be heroic no matter how weak they are.

While doing vigilante work, Daisuke is much more taciturn and brutal. He comes off as aloof even to the people he saves and emphasizes efficiency and agility when fighting against villains. He is something of an adrenaline junkie, and he rejects the regulations of hero society because he believes they only hinder people from doing true good. He has no desire to apply for a hero license, even though it limits his career potential.

Abilities

While working as a coach, he primarily focuses on helping students build stamina, improve reflexes, and increase hand-eye coordination. He avoids practicing combat at work, as it would give away the fighting style he uses as a vigilante.

Quirk

Ostrich: Daisuke's quirk gives him most of the abilities of an ostrich, up to and including: high running speed, enhanced eyesight, increased stamina, and resistance to high temperatures. This makes him a very effective rescue hero, but he often jumps into direct fights with villains despite this.
