Lt. Chen. A human. Command. Aspires to captain a starfleet flagship, and probably will at this rate.
Empathetic, but silver-tongued and willing to cheat the game to get what he thinks is the best outcome for everyone--really good at negotiating his way through something by making other people think what he wants is their own idea. He doesn't like breaking the rules, but bending them is an area of expertise. Will manipulate people under his command as well if it comes to that, but it's fine because it's for the greater good, right?
Very personable, but private with his emotions. Generally well-liked among the crew, since he always makes a genuine effort to listen to everyone and balance their needs accordingly. More stoic (and flimsy) than a Klingon would appreciate, but can go toe to toe with the games of ruthless calculation played by the likes of Romulans and Cardassians. Knows that being squeamish about necessary evil is a waste of time which could be better spent doing what good he can.
Chen also upholds the noble tradition of being a real ladykiller, which can and will come back to bite him. Has a cybernetic heart, a factoid his string of exes across the quadrant are more than willing to point out.
