He's incredibly protective of her, and tries not to let her out of his sight when they're in public.  The slightest hint of a scuffle will send him into guardian mode at times.  Despite his protectiveness, he really hopes to see her bud and make meaningful connections with others.  He hopes maybe someday, he will be able to see his friends and properly introduce her to them.

Bio:

A proud fighter of the Juuou clan, he considers himself to perhaps be among the best fighters even.  He trained hard in Osyphe since childhood, and lead many a victorious skirmish, though he took little in terms of treasure and no slaves to speak of.  Regardless, even before he was a full fledged adult, he was learning to instruct/instructing others in the fighting arts, and providing his tactical expertise to those who would seak his input for strikes.

Had he not met Orinda, he likely would have been content with his life under the proud clan Juuou, but met her he did.  Visiting his parents on his home island of Abcali, he met her as she was fleeing her owner.  In hysterics, she spilled everything to him.  The abuse, the parading, the humiliation and confusion.  Something about her desperation, her determination, her story, made him want to help.  But it was too late to do anything for her at this time.  The look on her face followed him, and the way her hands felt when she was torn from him.

It took well over a month, but when he heard of a particularly problematic pakaasu slave woman set for execution, he knew it had come time to act.  Under the protection of hood and cloak, he watched as she was weighted and cast to her fate. Carried by sheer adrenaline, and infatuation, he rescued her and whisked her to begin a new life together on the mainland.

Ever the devoted and voracious learner, he is now emersed in the university life of Ferirama.  He hopes to perhaps become a royal guard of rank, despite being a Pakaasu.

Before that, however, he plans to secretly return to The Isles in order to slay the Pakaasu that enslaved Orinda in the first place; for vengeance, and to prevent others from befalling the same cruelties.  He sees it as an embarassment to an otherwise proud clan.
