He is her peace of mind, she loves him deeply and swears to better herself daily to repay his kindness towards her.  She feels a deep sense of guilt because he left his whole life behind to allow her the chance at a better one.  She only hopes he, too, can make a better life alongside her in the future.

Bio:

Orinda was born a member of the Kiiai clan.  Being a female, she was often ignored or overlooked, and she mostly tried to adhere to the laws and traditions of Abcali.  She enjoyed dance and spear fighting and practiced it when she wasn't carrying out chores and obligations of daily life.

However, she came to be kidnapped in a Juuou clan raid, perhaps at first for her beauty, but it became more of a capturing for her fiesty fighting skills.  She was bested by a warrior who decided to keep her as a trophy of sorts, and they were incredibly cruel to her for the next 8 years of her life.  Treated as an object, she was often paraded around and made an example of to other servants.  She made many attempts to escape, each ending in being discovered and overpowered, and each resulting in more cruel neglect and treatment.

On one of her escapes, she met Cionaodh.  At the time, she may not have found the meeting too pivotal, but it proved to be the key to her freedom.  

Tied to stone and left to be claimed by the tides, Cionaodh, in cloak and hood, rescued her from her fate and whisked her away to Ferirama to begin a new life on the mainland.
