Profile
Nier is an idol musician who never became a rising star among his peers and also never had an owner when he first came into existence due to his faulty energy source. He lacked what some other oto-chros in his profession had: personality. Due to this fact he was considered never to have any true emotion in his music and so some listeners felt that he wasn't putting his effort into it or they easily became bored with his songs. Disheartened by the fact that his music never became popular like his rival, XI, he decided to seek out inspiration and chased after a small lion that happened to cross his path named Bell. Bell led him to a man named Licinius who happened to be in need of a fish story (ruse), and for the mutual benefit of both parties, he took Licinius on as an owner for his mechanical knowledge and control of some kind of force that might give him true AI knowledge. The force being something that Nier felt would lead him to finding his personality and soul (considered "AI knowledge"). With Licinius's help he was able to develop and maintain a more substantial personality named Lionel.
