Druidic Magic
Allura has always had a talent at druidic magic, and worked hard to develop it.
Pattern Recognition
She is excellent at recognizing patterns: in nature, in behavior, in music, in thinking. And she loves it. She especially loves visual patterns, in things she can see and touch: like leaves, or insect wings, or the way water ripples.
Perceptiveness
Allura is quite good at recognizing and observing things around her. The times when she's not, it's because she's retreated to her inside-world.
Herbalism
A skill that comes in handy is that Allura knows her way around plants well enough, and how to best use them for things like healing or managing emotions.
Combat Skills
Healing Magic
Healing others is a useful skill in combat, and Allura has got the hang of it.

Story
Allura has always known how to look for signs that plants and animals aren't thriving, so it surprises her it took her so long to realize she wasn't. Allura's daydreaming is her most powerful asset, but it's something that can disconnect her from the world everyone else seems to be living in all the time. And while it's already hard for her to connect to others, she's always ready to offer her hand for help and her ear to understand a situation.
Child
The outskirts of the city of Elmhaven have always been quite un-city-like: a tight-knit community of people have lived there for centuries. They were named Elmhaven before the city was, and always kept to themselves. That’s where Allura Daydance was born, a wood elf like many others, and she was the second child of her parents (as well as fifty years younger than her older brother). In the Outskirts, the community protected the city from animal and other nature-related threats, but also protected themselves from the city overtaking them. Her mother was a druid and her father a healer, and they were both quiet, dedicated people who expected the same of their children.
Allura was both of those, except still not quite what anyone wanted her to be. She was often called ‘too curious for her own good,’ seemed lost in a world that didn’t quite connect to what others saw, and couldn’t always communicate with others, since she didn’t speak out loud too much. On top of that, the ‘outside world’ fascinated her. She loved trinkets she could get from traders or that she could find at the edges of the city: porcelain dolls, mirrors, books, silk ribbons, anything made out of silver, marbles, velvet remnants. (She kept her favorites secure in a little box she carried everywhere.)
Dreamer
One thing she did have in common with many of the people who lived in the Elmhaven Outskirts, however, was her affinity for the fey. In the community, many people have long wanted to communicate with the fey and open a feywild portal in a location that, for years, has had lots of fey-magic energy. Like her mother, Allura was trained in druidic magic; she thrived at that, but others didn’t always notice — sometimes, progress sometimes came to her in dreams.
As Allura grew, she wanted to see more of the world than just the Elmhaven outskirts, but one thing stopped her. The community accepted some outsiders, and never mistreated people who left, but it was expected that once anyone left, they wouldn’t come back — it was a sign that they didn’t want to be in the Elmhaven Outskirts, anyway. That wasn’t true for Allura, because she loved her home and all its magic, but she felt limited in what she could do, ways she could help, and ways she could grow.
As a teenager and young adult, she would sneak out to the city for some time; while it often was too overwhelming to talk, she enjoyed the change of space and the sense of possibility. It was about as exciting as the prospect of the feywild, and there wasn’t much progress done with the portal to it. She had, however, made a friend from the feywilds: an Eladrin named Eris, who spoke to Allura via her dreams once in a while. Allura couldn’t really start the dreams, but always looked forward to Eris’s ‘visits.’ She felt like she belonged along Eris, and Eris talked so much of adventure that it made Allura want that, too.
Growing
Eventually, Allura decided that she couldn’t grow in the Elmhaven Outskirts. She was like a tree in the shade of taller trees — people kept expecting less of her than she knew she could give, and she couldn’t put it into words. The only thing she could think of, to make more of herself, was to set out and find a new, literal path. Maybe she could even find a real entrance to the feywild, or learn enough magic to open one herself.
So with her limited non-Elmhaven experience and Eris’ encouragement, Allura packed up her things and set out for an adventure (stopping, of course, at the Elmhaven city first for a couple of days).
