In the past, the wolf was a regular animal and beast- part of a line that had no clue of humanities existence. When the young wolf pup was attacked by hunters, and its family was killed- it was saved by the grace of the god of nature, and given exponential power in order to defend nature from the rising transgressions of human hunting and expansion. The wolf became a terror of the night, attacking and scaring off humans who overstepped into nature's lands and killed more than they needed or harmed the environment more than necessary for their survival.

Many viewed it as an evil god until the great war, where it suddenly sided with the celestial plane against the demon hoards, stating that if demons destroy nature- it is still within its job to fend them off. It becomes an ally to those gods and takes a human form of its own. Eventually, forging a connection with the god of humanity - leading to animals as companions to humans and a greater bond/understanding between man and nature.
