One of the top researchers in Sonareth, Rhearne arrived in the Shifting Expanse from the Starfall Isles to stay on top of the latest scientific discoveries. Seamlessly integrating magic into the newest technologies, she has been pushing the limits of innovation. As the head of the clan's mages, Rhearne is the one to go to when magic goes haywire. While some scorn her unusual techniques, she's more than willing to prove to them their effectiveness on the battlefield, fully tested or not. She found a kindred spirit in Meira, who avidly followed her magitech findings and eventually became a close friend. While the rest of the mages are still wary, Rhearne's headstrong nature and fascinating weaponry leave her at the front of the pack.
Having initially only come as an exchange to tour lightning's extensive facilities, she was swept away by what she saw. Her practicality, scorned in arcane where the dreamers were at the forefront, was at home amongst like minded lightning. Holding a high position in one of Stormcatcher's research labs, she is constantly seen running around in a lab coat. As magic is not particularly popular in lightning, she keeps her magitech experiments a firmly non-work related project, publishing her papers on her own.
