Octavius (Pirate AU)

Octavius becomes captain of the ship after mutiny of the previous captain. He led a small loyal group and took over after the ex-captain publicly chopped off the hand of a crew member, Brent, as a punishment. Brent was Tavey's close friend, with maybe a hint of flirty. He's very protective of Brent. But after the traumatic event Brent seems a bit scared of Tavey, and isolates himself. He wants his friend back, but he's afraid to come across as overbearing when Brent is like this. On top of that, Octavius is of course learning about all the new responsibilities, decisions, and sacrifices a captain must make.

Meets Captain Andre when, well, Andre sneaks onto his ship and attempts to steal something. Obviously getting himself caught. But Andre convinces Octavius, one captain to another, that he could be VERY useful if you gave him a chance!
