The demonic looking ungulate is, of course, a blobfolk. He has spend his entire existence slowly morphing himself into a lovely pony to appeal to little girls. If you look closely, you can see the skull is actually detached and hanging on his face. He's doing his best.
Ivoncraft is named so due to the Acutulus faction's obsessive need to label and define all elements of the world of Aether. Ivoncraft himself refuses to acknowledge the name, as he is trying to be the best pony he can, and ponies can't speak English. He sometimes is caught out when passions flare: he accidentally finds himself on long, articulate rants when he gets argumentative about something.

The Saddle
Ivoncraft wants nothing more than to be a lovely Pony that little girls will want to befriend - hopefully Abigail. He's been eyeballing the saddles in the stables of Dewey's Ranch, hoping and praying that one day, he'll be able to don one and carry adoring children around the corral all day. Regrettably, no one is interested in helping him get one.
Black Death
A dark shadow terrorizes Tough World, and the factions beyond, as one ghost figures out how exactly death can be achieved. Declaring himself the Prophet of Humanity, he separates the devout from the non-believers by putting their beliefs to the ultimate test.
Arimshi
Ari and Ivon are best friends, a nice shoulder to lean on for each other in the solitude of Dewey's Ranch. Ivon doesn't have much interest in the covert nature of Ari's job, which sends her to distant faction strongholds, but he'll always be there when she returns home.
