About
Father Vincent is an oddity to many; he serves as a priest in a rural church, leading his small parish in fervent sermons with nothing but reverence to the God he speaks of. It’s during these sermons that he’s most alive, and the few that believe in God and His work hang onto Vincent’s every word as he delivers his speeches with a zealotry that is most unusual for humans. But then, that’s because Father Vincent is no mere human, but a fallen angel.
Once an Archangel, Vincent was cast out of Heaven once his love for a mortal was uncovered. His wife and daughter were subsequently killed in a witch hunt by those who had cast him out soon after; now helpless and alone, Vincent turned to priesthood and the very same God that shunned him, seeking his succor and forgiveness. Most angels cast out of Heaven are overcome with grief, enough to attempt to snuff out their own lives, and Vincent himself is no exception. Branded with immortality by God’s hand, the priest has become subdued and miserable. He now lives to preach, hoping that one day he can be forgiven and offered a place back into His ranks.

Trivia
- His wife was named Estella, and his daughter was named Zora. They were both natural redheads!
- When asked about the markings on his face, Vincent’s go-to is to tell people he used to run with a gang. He’s afraid of venturing out into heavily-populated areas without something to cover his face in fear of the cityfolk recognizing his status as a fallen angel.
- Vincent gained a smoking habit after the death of his wife and child. It’s the only thing that takes his mind off of his grief nowadays, if only for as long as the cigarette lasts.
- While binding his wings is very painful, he sees it as a necessity in his day-to-day despite being in a community that believes in God’s work.
Tiago is an angel hunter, and a rude one at that. His salutations came to Vincent in the form of a bullet to the forehead, and after finding out that Vincent was damn-near unkillable, Tiago has made it his mission to find something to take the harmless fallen angel down. Vincent secretly wishes for Tiago to succeed; without the love of the Father, his life is one that he doesn’t want.
