Cerulean Azura

Cerulean Azura is a male arctic fox born in 280 ADD on Concentra's Ice Moon of Cryo in the city of Nyon. When he was 17, he moved to the Spectrum Academy of Grand Concentra City where he began his training. While on a mission to the Fjord Reaches, he discovered an enchanted cloak and unlocked his dormant Ice powers, becoming an Ice Elemental.

Personality

Cerulean is an introverted and reserved fox who prefers to blend in with society, valuing interpersonal friendships over socializing. He generally employs passiveness in conflicts, acting as an observer and wishing to not get involved, however there are certain instances where he will stand up for his beliefs. He also struggles with Social Anxiety Disorder, preferring not to talk to people for fear of awkwardness or coming off as uneducated, and because of this he can be very protective of the few friends he is able to make.

Abilities

Being an Ice Elemental, Cerulean has the power of Cryomancy, giving him the ability to create frost blasts, ice spears, walls of ice, and freeze water.

He is also skilled with his pair of Cyber-Nunchuks, which were constructed by him out of carbon hilts and Permaice crystals, a special form of ice crystal cold enough to cut through materials. In combat he employs various forms of nunchaku technique, preferring dual-wielding and defensive forms, although occasionally he connects the hilts to use flailing attacks.

He is knowledgeable in unarmed combat.

His thin build allows him to be nimble.

His introverted nature makes it easier for others to feel comfortable around him, resulting in him knowing a lot more about people than others realize.

Design

Cerulean has mainly white fur, with sharp blue accent markings on his cheeks, shoulders, collar bone, and hips. An arrow-shaped spear design runs along his back, with two smaller arrows on his wrists. His ears and tail are tipped with the same blue. His spiky blue hair is long and fluffy, going down to his shoulders. The interior of his ears are light blue, and his eyes are cyan.

Attire

Cerulean's standard outfit consists of a black and blue gi, tied together with a red-striped belt. He wears light blue sweatpants with darker blue highlights. An enchanted indigo long cloak runs down his torso. Black rectangular armor with glowing green highlights strap across his shoulders.

His casual outfit consists of a black t-shirt and blue sweatshirt with white highlights. He normally wears these with dark blue sweatpants and neon blue and white highlights.

His Advanced Warrior outfit consists of a light-blue tunic with dark blue cyber samurai armor. Silver spiked armor covers his shoulders, and blue gauntlets strap to his wrists. Layered plated armor straps to his tail.

Story

Early Life

Cerulean grew up on Concentra's Ice Moon of Cryo with his parents and his sister, a husky named Cloud, in the cyber city of Nyon. In middle school he met his best friend Rifter, an interdimensional-warping cat. They grew up together until they graduated from high school when Cerulean was 17.

Attending the Spectrum Academy

Shortly after graduating, Cerulean moved to Grand Concentra City in the Northern Empire to attend the Spectrum Academy, where he majored in Visual Arts while also training in martial arts. There, he was assigned his Spectrum Squadron along with kangaroo Vert Greene and clouded leopard Rosa Amaranth. Their supervisor, a maned wolf named Maron Umber, managed their training, and soon had them construct their own weapons. Cerulean, trained in close combat on the Samurai track, built twin cyber-nunchuks with blades made from Permaice crystals.

First Mission

After training together for several months, Cerulean, Vert, and Rosa were assigned their first field mission--to locate and protect a cheetah named Hunter Pantone, who was believed to have important information for the Northern Empire against the Sur Kingdoms. They confronted him at the docks of Grand Concentra City, though the cheetah managed to escape on his houseboat. Maron then instructed them to take a skyship up north to the Fjord Reaches, where they'd be able to intercept him. Upon locating him, they pleaded with Hunter to trust them, and though he initially refused to go with the Squadron, they were soon attacked by a red panda named Crimson Hong, who'd been dispatched by the Sur Kingdoms to capture him.

During the fight, Cerulean and Crimson ended up in a duel while Vert, Rosa, and Hunter escaped. Cerulean defeated the red panda, but the ice beneath his feet gave way, dropping him into an arctic shrine deep in the glacial caverns. At the end of the room hung a blue longcloak, which called to him. As he donned the cloak, his Elemental Ice powers awakened, allowing him to escape back to the rest of his team. Together, they chartered a skyship back to Grand Concentra City, but on the way, they learned the Spectrum Academy had been destroyed in a bombing, with reports blaming the Sur Kingdoms. Hunter then revealed to the Squadron their true mission had been to protect the information Maron had given him, which contained all the evidence needed to expose the Empire as the true culprit of the attack. With nowhere for them to go, Hunter offered to have them stay with him on his houseboat.

Joining the Resistance

Back in Grand Concentra City, they discovered Maron among the names of those lost in the attack, and Cerulean knew his life was about to change dramatically. Going to Hunter, he revealed his new Elemental Ice powers, explaining how the cloak had helped him unlock them. Hunter told him about others with similar powers in the past, the Elementals, although they were much rarer now than they had been centuries before, and that the Empire would surely try to take advantage of any known Elemental. So for Cerulean's safety, he advised the fox to keep his powers a secret, and that he would learn to use them expertly with practice.

They lived with Hunter for a year, before he offered the squad a new choice--to join him as a cell of freedom fighters to expose corruption in the city. Vert was reluctant, and decided to leave them, but Cerulean and Rosa agreed to join.

Relationships

His best friend is an interdimensional warping cat named Rifter.

He is very close with his sister Cloud the husky.

He has an interplanetary friendship with a Mystic Chupacabra named Xeno from Arcanea, a nearby planet in the same solar system as Concentra.

He is also part of an adventuring party with childhood friend Blizzard Snowgrazer the cow, as well as a tiger named Pyro Wildfyre, and a kangaroo named Peppermint Mist.

His mentor is an ice wolf named Frida Winterspear.
