Hours of prep work, careful craft. An old man hunched in a dimly lit kitchen. He was a master, his soups were a hidden gem, buried deep in the alleys of Japan. Poured into a ornately decorated bowl and set before a tired man. The smell was incredible, he wanted nothing more than to envelop himself in the steam and dig in. Something called the man away though. The bowl sat, alone, steam curling tiredly towards the ceiling, until found by Jiro.


She is visually blind, she cannot "see" the way we can, or most esks can.
What she is able to 'see' are vague flickering auras. These appear as foggy, rippling silhouette or outline of the entity. Everything has a spirit, but manmade things generally have very simple auras, and things with no emotional gravity at all, such as a slab of concrete or a metal building, don't have any aura at all, and simply look like a strange empty space to her.
A being's emotional state becomes more solid with less flickering, the more stable and calm they are. On the opposite end, those who are unstable or plagued by fear or negative thoughts or emotions.


Kintsugi sees emotions and instabilities as colors, and natural things have colors as well.
