August was raised to believe that Vampires were on top, entitled to what they needed to survive and beyond. His parents raised him to be as such, to be like them. Viewing humans as prey for the hunt, to be drained and used of every drop they had, and Werewolves as lowly dogs.

His parents had quite the following, Being rich and privileged vampires they felt they could take what they desired. That was until they were brought down by the church, those who are in such a twisted and entitled mindset are dangerous. In turn, August was given the leadership of the coven, The perfect successor his parents had crafted him to be.

Unlike his parents, August has a bigger plan than his parents ever did. To put humans in their place and use them as what they were intended to be, cattle for the slaughter. He plans to make a sustainable farm of humans, enough to sustain his coven. Once the coven is big enough he plans to go bigger, taking more and more until they can be seen as a power in the eyes of all. He dislikes the idea of staying hidden from humans and will reveal himself to the public as a vampire whenever he feels like it. He doesn't see the negative consequences of it and doesn't see humans as strong enough to do anything about it.

Lionel

Many decades passed before August met Lionel. He'd stayed in the boy's town for about a week, noticing the other watching him always looking away before he caught his gaze. But he knew it was there. At first he was suspicious, thinking him to be another hunter on his tail or a priest. However his suspicions were laid to rest the moment the boy approached him.

He acted towards him the way women did, ones who wanted to lay with him only to be met with a grim fate. Yet it was strange, his intentions were more pure than theirs. He wanted to be near him and speak with him, to be close with him. It was odd and intriguing, thus he allowed the boy to live. Giving him the time of night to speak with him and be in his presence.

He regarded him as a pet of sorts, maybe a step above. The boy would let him feed from him and he'd give him a reward of affection. A kiss here a peck on the cheek there, it was amusing. The longer they spent together the more he could get the boy to do, no matter how much the other refused he always gave in eventually.

His complacent nature seemed to end the day he turned him. The boy had refused, yelled and begged for him to stop. But why would he? He was making him better.  He should be thankful.. He could never be as perfect as a pure blood  but it was better than human. From then on the other grew distant, avoiding August until August forced him to allow him to feed. His blood tasted so much nicer now it drove him crazy.

This routine persisted until he was driven off by the villagers, a whole village banding together to get rid of him. The nerve of the pests. He left but never let Lionel leave his sight. Having one of his coven keep tabs on the boy. it has become harder in the last 10 years given the fact that he no longer stays in the same spot but they find him eventually.

Goals

Augustus wishes to continue the work of his parents and believes in their overall goal. This being that humans are food and are nothing. In other words, they need to be put in their place. He leads his coven in raids on towns, taking dozens of humans from each town they raid. The coven itself has a base of operation where they stash, farm, and feed on the humans they capture. A human farm basically. When the coven is big enough August plans to take down the church (the werewolf and vampire union), and expand from there.

August is used to luxury and being treated with respect. He expects everyone to follow his directions and not question him.
