Delta

She is a Zaratan which is a species of giant sea turtles with land masses on their massive shells. During The Culling incident, she and many others of her kind rescued the Kaivern species from extinction by allowing them to take refuge within their islands as they swam out to the vast seas of Lato. While many were hunted down, slimming the population of Zaratan from one million to only one hundred across the world now. They and the Kaiverns they rescued are seen as mythological creatures now, but it is often rumored that they may ferry "the worthy" across the oceans.

Delta had once housed a family of Kaiverns upon her giant shell until a typhoon struck causing much destruction to her island and the death of all but one young Kaivern that had been hidden away by his loving mother. He alone survived from a young age and was the only one taking inhabitance on Delta's back until they met ???, a traveling merchant who decided to begin traveling with them. He is quite quirky...

Delta is revered by the lone Kaivern living with her as a deity. He treats her with the utmost respect and occasionally talks to her but due to the very slow nature she has, Delta is not always swift in her responses.
