Background
Kendrik is a hard person to get close to. He can be an asshole and often unnecessarily cruel. He has a front he puts up for work, charming and caring, but he doesn't let people truly get close. He can be manipulative as he feels the need to always be in control of the situation. Deep in his heart though, he's a romantic. He enjoys spending time with people he cares about, though he tries to play it off as them being the ones desperate for affection. While he tries to keep it toned down, he is big on physical affection. That goes out the window when he's drunk, he always has to be touching his partner, preferably with them in his arms. He tends to avoid alcohol because of this, especially since he's a lightweight.

His first love, no one caught him the way Orange did. Originally he was only intending to play with her for a little while, but getting to know her as a person changed how he viewed her. After the initial rejection, he began to put more thought into being with her. By the time he realized that was something he wanted, she had already started a relationship with Brent. He thought he would be content just being her friend, but he couldn't stand it after a year. He brought up the idea of sharing her between them, and she passed the idea to Brent.
At first, Kendrik couldn't stand Brent. He felt like Brent was a threat to the relationship he and Orange had, as Brent tended to monopolize Orange's time. When they entered a relationship, Kendrik intended to keep him at a distance. Constant exposure to him made Kendrik realize that he liked him as well. Kendrik found himself softening around Brent, and Brent opened up in kind.
Kendrik was a big mama's boy, still kind of is though he'll deny it. He reds all the books she recommends so they can discuss them later. He takes her out once every two weeks, and they write letters back and forth despite having phones. He cares bout her opinion a lot, though if the issue is important to him, he will go against her wishes.
Kendrik has a strained relationship with his dad. They care about each other, but they have a hard time seeing eye to eye. When Kendrik was in his bug phase as a kid, his dad actively supported him with the thought that Kendrik would go into a STEM field. When Kendik decided that he wasn't interested in a four year college, his dad expressed his dissappointment in him which changed their relationship drastically.
Kendrik and Ryder don't get along at all. Kendrik craves the relationship Ryder has with their dad and feels that Ryder has set an examle as golden child that Kendrik can't live up to. They are both equally smart, but Kendrik feels like Ryder thinks he's smarter than him. When they were younger, Ryder told Kendrik that he didn't want him and that stuck with Kendrik for years.
Kendrik loves Mason, has gone on record in saying that Mason is his favorite brother. Mason embarresses Kendrik to no end, but it's similar to how their mom embarresses them. Kendrik used to write leeters to Mason and tape them to his door. Kendrik keeps an album of the prints Mason makes, and Mason is his go to when he needs a photogrpher. Mason was the first person Kendrik talked to when entering his relationship with Brent and Orange.
