Basics
Rudo is a hard working individual, and is quite fit for his age. He values practicality but also has many traditions that he's more lenient to. Rudo's quite stubborn when he needs to be but over the years he has learnt to listen to people better and to be much more patient. Being nomadic, Rudo has learned to use his environment to his advantage. For the same reason he also had a late start learning social skills, that fact sometimes shinning through in his interactions with other mocchi. He also a little bit of a thrill seeker but with him having a child now he has to put that aside for his kids sake.

Mage Powers
Light projection: He can use light to create objects, these object's strength can depend on how bright it is.
Leech: He can absorb surrounding magic to strengthen his own, along with what I can only describe as "life energy". May be used to heal.
Rudo and Perth’s story would mostly focus around themes of parenting, father son relationships, a coming of age story with perth specifically, with some lesser themes of loss, survival and loneliness. Most focus would start later on but there’s some backstory before that too so ima go with that first. Rudo was born in ‘Runner Village’, a village that was founded by a large group of mages who left their home village by using spirits of loyal animal companions to give legs to their homes. The village made up of runner houses and caravans, the whole village acting a lot like a caravan as the whole village is made up of traveling merchants. Rudo would grow up with his grandma, either because his parents aren’t around or because their house was too small. TBH I really haven’t thought about his parents.
Ideas
I got ideas for specific story footnotes; like Rudo realising that Perth is gonna end up mute if he doesn’t someone with a voice to come him and teach him how talking works, (If I go with the hidden trait) finding how he has venomous fangs, him just being a fucking menance to other kids, and of course hinding out about his parents plus learning about his dzucchi culture.
