Aeterna

Overview

• Purpose: this is a vast 'region' in space where different factions of Lucent Lumin set up bases. There isn't a priority to set up right next to the other factions, especially ones they aren't directly allied with, so there is still plenty of empty space between settlements.

• Weather: well, it's space. Dust clouds, meteor streams, solar flares, you know.

Population

• Supernova Lumin: beings formed at the center of a supernova explosion. They are mostly thoughtless until they become influenced by planet-life, which they may begin to mimic to varying degrees. There is a divide on if this influence is positive or negative, however. Information on all of the opposing parties here.

○ Lucent: scattered groups of Lumin who have the same 'end' goal of preserving planets and their planet-life. How they pursue their goal differs between the individual groups. Current Lucent groups with info include: Phoenixes, Bolts, and Torrents.

○ Proxima: Lumin that are an oppositional force to the Lucent. Sometimes dwell on the outskirts of Aeterna, looking to cause a problem.

• Asters: an Aster is any non-Lumin lifeform that has been recruited by a Lucent Lumin. They are protected and can traverse space unharmed by the environment. Unless they get struck down by a meteor. But their Leader can put them back together, it's fine.

○ powers: thanks to their Leader's protection, Asters are afforded powers that mirror a Lumin's powers, but they are not as strong nor long-lasting. They can store away a number of objects with their vessel, create temporary shields, travel long distances via a meteor-like form, and can be restored by their leader if they are met with lethal force. • Nova Lumin: beings randomly formed during Nova explosions. Sometimes one explosion is enough, other times it takes multiple before they've become built up enough to move. They are very similar to Supernova Lumin, but usually don't reach the same level of intelligence. Some Lumin have Nova Lumin as companions.

Relevant characters

Phoenixes: Weis' recruits complete a variety of tasks. He tries to make sure the seriousness of said tasks is proportional to the individual's experience, especially since he recruits Asters along with Lumin.

• Some may work temporary, average [or odd] jobs to build the Phoenixes' currency reserves for that world. Map make, or survey little known worlds for Beacons. Seek out missing people or creatures.

• Generally, as far as war or guarding the base's borders is concerned, he will only send out experienced Lumin in situations where a recruit must be sent specifically to fight.

• Weis' base has areas that are golden, and areas that are blue. Sometimes the colors shift and bleed into each other

Bolts: if you cannot fight, nor reliably restore fellow Lumin on the battle field, Kyro doesn't want you.

• Kyro doesn't usually involve himself in human-led wars, that's their fault and their business. He concerns himself and his recruits with fighting Proxima and preventing them from destroying lesser-protected human worlds.

• Kyro's base is consistently purple.

Torrents: Tori thinks humans areeee.. eh. She doesn't intentionally work against them [at least not wherever they aren't actively destroying the fauna and flora she loves] but she sure doesn't want to work for them. And they don't work for her either, she only recruits Lumin and sapient animals.

• Tori sends her recruits to nurture worlds wherever she can. But also allows Weis or Kyro to borrow her recruits where they may be useful on missions, such as for tracking, spying, and underwater surveying.

• Tori's base shifts between a bluish and greenish tint, the structures are colored similarly to her, with the soft blue-green gradient.
