born in laytonville, california, a fairly small town not far from the coast. moved to foxbrook ( a typical twin peaks / x - files / etc style, cryptid - laden town ) in sophomore year of high school when her grandmother, kathleen may hyer, who lived in foxbrook, died.

had a hard time making friends after moving, so she ended up being the introverted weird kid in her class — got into witchcraft for a couple months in junior year, which certainly didn’t help that reputation.

worked at ophelia’s books, a local secondhand bookstore, during high school.

onto that good cryptid shit: she swears she saw bigfoot once while on a hike with her mother in middle school, which is where her interest sparked. she’s had a few minor encounters with ghosts; her late grandmother had an affinity for seeing ghosts and friday believes that ability passed down to her. she’s on all the cryptid forums & tries to investigate the goings-on of foxbrook whenever possible.

when she isn’t at school or thinking about cryptids, she’s probably reading ancient cheesy sci-fi paperbacks or watching reruns of x-files or twilight zone.

there’s a possum in her backyard that she feeds & has lovingly named saturday. after two years of feeding saturday, she’s gained his trust enough that he sometimes sits on her shoulders if she stays still for a very long time, much to the terror of her parents.
