Drayden Liu's Links
All his life, he's been told he's dangerous, seen as someone to fear, even when he tried his best to be good. He's not sure when he gave in and started taking those words at face value, but Flare... she's showing him that maybe there IS more to him than the shadows of his parent's crimes. She's one of the first few people who wasn't scared or cruel to him in years, how could he NOT value that?
Something about her makes his heart feel warm. He's not sure what this means...
He tries to act tough, but she's not scared of him. She can tell he's a big softie, under all that armor, and he seems to feel safe showing it to her. Sure, he's the son of two supervillains. But that doesn't mean he's evil, and she's trying to show him that.
Maybe she has a crush on him. But that can wait until later. Right now, it's time to show him to loosen up a bit, have some fun, and be himself--the REAL himself!
Drayden knew he had violent tendencies, but he tried to put them to good use, so when he saw some kids bullying a satyr, he jumped into action. He didn't have too many second thoughts about it, he thought it'd just be a one and done deal.
But then the kid started hanging out with him. So they became friends, and he defended him from the bullies that loved to treat him like some sacrificial lamb.
He'd be here to defend the kid long as he could help it. But who knows when the foster system's gonna shuffle him around again? He'd better teach Azzy how to defend himself...
When he heard that the son of the two worst supervillains in the country's history was going to THEIR SCHOOL, Azzy was scared! He'll admit it!
But when Drayden saved him from some bullies, he realized he wasn't all that bad... in fact he was. Nice?
Now they're best friends. Maybe even something like brothers.
