Background

Background

The only son of a japanes mother and a english father.
His parents met when Alain's father went to Japan due work and there he met his future wife due some friends in common. Even if his father was supposed to go back to England, he decided to keep living with his girlfriend in the asian country and after a couple years dating, they got married. 

Alain was the only child that the couple had and his name was chosen between other English and Japanese names when they saw Alain's blue eyes. When Alain was a child, he was an energetic and friendly boy who sometimes talked "alone". The true was that he was able to see things that other persons were not really able to see. At first, he was not really sure what Youkais were, still, he was not really scared of the things that he saw since they were always friendly with him or just did not get closed to him. 

His parents were a little worried at first but his grandmother made sure that his parents did not get worried since he was only a child with a "wild imagination" and when Alain grow up, he would stop talking about that things. His grandmother was not really surprised about his grandson since she was also able to see the same things that him.  Because of that, they were really closed and Alain always wanted to go to his grandparents house.

When Alain was 14 years old, his grandmother told him a big family secret that was considered just a legend: long time ago, more than a hundred years ago, one of his ancestors married a oni so all the family had some youkai blood in them. Even if in some family members the power of that blood was weak, in others it was strong enough to let them see things that normal humans could not. His grandmother also told him that even one of their ancestors looked like a really oni. Alain was really surprised, but at least he knew the reason why he was able to see that things.

The blonde boy lived his life just like a normal person, he went to school, went out with friends and dated some girls. But when his grandparents died, he decided to take over their business: a Japanese inn and Onsen. His parents thought at first to sell the places since neither of them were interested in it, but Alain loved that place since it was his grandparents home, and he even helped them sometimes during the summer vacations.

This way, Alain became the owner of the inn. An inn that accepts both human and youkais as guests.
