Typhoon is something of a spoiled brat who's used to being coddled by her father and family, but one that's very wise and kind to others. While she comes across as uptight and selfish, she typically has good intentions behind her snarky words and ultimately she is probably trying to help.

Trivia

  • Her tail is that of a sea dragon mollusk- not a fish. As such its smooth to the touch- not scaled.
History

Daughter of the god of thunder Haokah, alongside her siblings Monsoon, Hurricane,  and Cyclone, born before his fall from grace and subsequent death & rebirth. The siblings grew up together in his massive castle built  within the stone of a lone mountain poking above the sealine, where thunder and lightning is said to be born. Upon their father's death, the demi-god siblings parted ways to seek their own fates in the world and try to decide who they are without their father's commanding shadow.  None of the siblings are aware that he is still alive.

Typhoon was her daddy's little princess. While he and Hurricane were very close, Typhoon was only a smidge behind her sister in adoration of her father. Typhoon is vain, prideful, and quite full of herself and her knowledge. When her father died, Typhoon took to pledging her life to the gods and their will. She herself was no god, of the siblings, only Hurricane had earned the status of a Demigod (Which she keeps secret from them). Typhoon uses her magical ability to perform acts that she believes were sent to her from the gods who certainly "have a reason for everything." and she has come to believe that loyalty to them may urge them to give their father back to them. She is spiritual, meditative, and though she can be self-centered, she is typically kind and welcoming, if eccentric towards others.

She has built her own temple at the edge of the sea, where she uses a magical pool she has formed flooded in arcane magic to help others with their problems. She does not know the dangers of this- as she is certainly no expert in magic, but she allows visitors to approach and drink from the pool, causing them to earn temporary magical abilities or experience visions, that may or may not relate to their actual issues. She means well in it all, but such magical use drains the user and leaves them feeling very tired and susceptible to illness or accident afterward. She has earned something of a following, where she and others teach people about the words of the gods based on whispers that she receives from drinking from the pools herself. She has yet to question which god may really be speaking to her, for her in grief she projects her father's voice telling her what to do.

If the voice heeds her elsewhere, she will follow it and will gladly perform what tasks it tells her. Part of her loyalty to such a thing also lies in her lack of purpose. When her father died, she felt aimless and alone. She didn't know what to do with herself and without his guiding voice that she had come to rely on, she had to seek a new voice to tell her what to do. She likes to think that she can be a leader, and she does have the courage and charisma to be a great leader to others, but has not yet discovered her footing in the world or what she really wants to do. She's turned to a world she cannot see for answers and waits desperately for a true direction she feels she can devote her life to.

She and Monsoon have a strong rivalry, as he heavily opposes her views and rejects the spirits as a hoax, if not an evil god manipulating her. He claims that the gods turned their back on their father, and thinks that catering to them to convince them to return him is shameful to what he stood for. The two are heavily prone to bickering and whenever they're around each other Hurricane often has to intervene to stop them.

Typhoon eventually finds her purpose with the help of her brother when they finally resolve their differences, and she becomes a demigoddess and guardian of the seas. She devotes her life to sharing the wonderful things of the oceans to others, and an avid believer in her brother and sister's visions to unite those on land with the mysteries below. She eventually does connect to the gods when becoming a goddess herself, realizing the error in her ways and utilizing the pool as a home for herself, to recoup and regain her powers when needbe, using her own abilities and wisdom to offer aid to visitors instead of allowing them to fall victim to the chaos of the void. They explain to her that they can do nothing about her father, though they don't specify that the reason is because he never really died.

Post-reuniting with her father:

When Haokah returns, Typhoon is even more secured in her spirituality and trust in the gods, convinced that it was her prayer and kindness towards them that encouraged them to bring him back. He is dismissive of this, but she's happy to welcome him back into the family nevertheless. She's probably the child who was the least immediately impacted by the shock of his return, and generally went right back to being the daddy's girl she was before. She uses her abilities to move her arcane pool to a temple on the island of her family's castle instead of where it previously rested. She does reside in the temple, rather than the castle- but frequently visits it to see her family.

She was originally very skeptical of Storme and her presence, but eventually came to a grudging acceptance; probably jealous of the attention his new mate received from her father. She eventually grows fairly close to her younger sister, Tempest, who shares a lot in common with her.
