- Can only be barefoot or wear shoes with no heels. Anything with a slight heel and she suddenly can’t balance.
- Can’t cook to save her life and tended to eat mostly anything that didn’t need to be; fruits and nuts and such.
- Her love of birds hits deeper in her due to her past. Her favorite is the crane.
- Will not cleanse/bathe with other people in eyesight as she’s uncomfortable with them seeing her scars.
About
Vespera is quite a lady when it comes to how she appears. Because her lover prided her for her beauty, she tries very hard to uphold that in her own eyes. The only things she doesn’t find “beautiful”, despite his objections, are the scars she has on her body. These mean that regardless of the outfit, she’s sure that they’re covered up.
In battle, Vespera’s personality takes a rather hard back seat. She pushes herself away and becomes an entirely different person. This Vespera is cold and unforgiving and unrelenting. What she lacks in raw strength, intellect for planning, or skill at finding weakpoints she makes up with creativity in her fights. Her weapons allow her to deploy them either to create distance or to close it. She has a wild fighting style that while it leaves her open, it makes it hard for her opponent to read. Not to mention her speed has her circling her prey to pepper them with blows.

“Don’t underestimate me.”
Vespera, at the core, is a very shy and naive woman. Due to her upbringing, she has little social skills outside of knowing how to get close to a target when needed. Because of this she can come off as callous and cold to those that haven’t gotten to know her. Any smiles she shows are typically fake or forced and it’s become a hard habit to break.
To those that do know her, she’s very loyal and sweet to be around. She’s passionate in doing her best for those she cares for. However, because she doesn’t let people normally get close, when someone does she tends to cling onto them rather tightly. Literally as well, as she enjoys reaching out and being able to touch the person. As if to make sure they’re still there. When around those that know her, she opens up like a flower in bloom.
Her biggest problem is the fear and anxiety of being around people with the thought that she’ll lose them as well. While she works on this to try and come to an understanding and a middle ground— nightmares of her past still haunt her from time to time. The second biggest fear she has is fire in general, something that she will seek Jace’s help with as time goes by.

Base Power
Trained and honed from her previous life, she’s able to use both sickles in various fashions. As well as swap which hands they’re in with easy. Should she need she can swing the orbs at the end just right to catch her opponent as well. As a former assassin, her accuracy is deadly to make up for her lack of strength behind each blow.
Berserker
A dangerous technique, Vespera doesn’t use this very often and when it is used, it’s only because she’s out of options. Her movements become nearly unreadable as she swarms her opponent with blows that vary in strength, speed, and type. The only problem is she’s easy to trip up if one should get the opportunity.
Swing
At the base of both of her sickles is a thick chain and an attached ball. This she’ll hold onto and begin to swing her sickles around by them. This is usually used to create space between her and her opponent as well as confusion should she be backed into a corner.
Summary
Past
Vespera grew up under the thumb of a woman that she grew to call her Mother. This woman cared for all of the children in the organization as they were trained to be lethal assassins from a young age. In hopes of pleasing and earning the love from her Mother, Vespera trains harder than any other to join the upper echelon of their organization’s top earners by the age of sixteen.
Around this time, her Mother is killed when out on a mission. Not having grown attached to any of her superiors, she’s left alone in the treacherous waters of the organization. Unsure what to do and how to navigate, she began to take any and all missions that were handed to her. Many of them landed her in terrible situations that have earned her many scars across her body.
For sixteen more years she’s managed to live. However, it’s come with the price of burying her true self beneath a cold and cruel mask. When a particular mission goes awry, she’s taken in by a young baker and nursed back to health. He’s around her age and doesn’t look at her differently despite the cold shoulder she tries to give him. Regardless, around him, her real self slowly comes out. He thinks she’s kind and beautiful despite her own perception.
Over the following two years, the organization is being to crumble beneath inner power struggles. Inevitably, Vespera is caught in the crossfire. She returns to her lover one day only to find him dead with his home up in fire. It takes her some time to figure out the culprit, however, once she does she hunts them down. While she does manage to reap her vengeance, she’s mortally wounded from the fight and dies shortly after.
Tarnished Intentions
Reborn as a Star, her talents catch the eye of one of the Celestials— Celeste. It doesn’t take long for her to grow a crush on the sweet and gentle Celeste. She clings to the one things she now has and works hard to fulfill her goals, as well as get attention from Celeste. It pays off when the day comes that she’s welcomed as a Keeper of Light.
Celeste gives her the benefit shortly after of having a Guardian. She’s uninterested at first but accepts as to not disappoint Celeste. While her one-sided crush never seems to bear fruit, she cares and tries to always be with Celeste on the latter’s missions. When the day comes that she’s not and Celeste is nearly killed, Vespera nearly quits over it— seeing as she’s failed and it almost happened again, almost lost someone she cared for. And does the same as before, vowing to find the ones responsible.
Yet she can’t seem to find any clues whatsoever. At least, not until Orion brings Zye into the fold. It’s only then that her desperation is answered by an informant saying they’re not from any side. That all she has to do is give Zye to them and she’ll have the person and information on them that wounded Celeste. She agrees to the terms.
Only to regret them as she gets to see glimpses of the man she’s kidnapped. He reminds her of the man she lost; the kindness, the forgiveness, and the smile. Still, she can’t stop now that she’s this far. Upon meeting at the trade off point, she encounters Jace and Orion— discovering that nothing is really as it seems— and sides with Jace in his effort to protect a love that reminds her of one she had.
Despite being subdued and drug back to Noctis, Zye is the one that backs her and demands she not be let go. Unless she wants to that is. What he gives her is something no one else has. As she’s removed from her Keeper status, she’s sent on her way with a new goal in mind.
Golden Ambitions
Desperate to make things right, Vespera seeks out the one person that she knows can help her— Jace. She’s allowed into the fold and works tirelessly to aid him or Callua wherever she’s needed. Learning the plots unfolding beneath the surface, she ends up being the perfect person to guard Sigil with her life.
She’ll be one of the reasons Jace and company are even able to make it into Noctis in search of sanctuary. And while she doesn’t seek to have her Keeper status returned to her, she still works as hard as one.
Relationships
Celeste
Friend
Vespera deeply cares for and enjoys Celeste’s company. Despite being turned down, their friendship only manages to grow once the situation is taken care of. They spend much time together and rely on each other’s advice to handle future problems. Despite letting her feelings toward her crush wilt, the love she has for Celeste is still there and she’d do anything to be there for her regardless as the best friend she can be.
Zye
Friend
Despite their rocky start, Vespera sees a lot of her past lover in him. It has her wishing to not only get to know him but also to protect him from what she sees is coming down the line. Something that he reflects back to her as well. There’s no bad blood between them in the slightest and one can find her over in Solis with him quite often after things settle down.
