Sparkflight is a very cheerful cat who likes to talk a lot. He isn't known to be very skillful but he is very loyal and feels sympathy for pretty much anybody. That is how he got close to Nighthawk, a she-cat from Shadowclan. Their friendship gets them both into a lot of trouble and during fights between their clans they try to avoid each other. They never even scratched one another and thus get a lot of angry remarks from their clanmates, asking about their loyalty.

Later it is revealed that Nighthawk is actually his half-sister.
