A student at UA High School, Aurora originally had the goal of becoming the sidekick to her best friend who's own goal was to become a pro hero. However after the unfortunate loss of her friend she decides to continue on and make his dream come true herself, covering up the real reason saying she wants to become a hero to make people smile (which still isn't completely false).

Appearance

Aurora is a shorter, slightly stocky girl. Most of it being muscle but with enough fat give her a softer and more round build. Her hair reaches the bottom of her shoulder blades and is often styled in large ringlet curls with her bangs curling in to frame her round face. Naturally her hair is blonde but to fit her image more she has it dyed a pastel pink with still a bit of her blonde peeking in from the top. She has large, round, amber eyes that always seems to have a bit of sparkle in them and a light pink star on either cheek that glows and sparkles a bit when her quirk is in use or she's recharging.

Personality

Aurora is a very bright and bubbly individual that is always dancing around, cracking cheesy jokes, or doing little tricks with her quirk to try and make others happy. Her energy and enthusiam might almost be enough to make her come off as annoying, but thankfully she has enough control over herself to know when its time to be serious and when she's taking things too far. So her energy is more charming than anything, other than maybe to particularly grumpy kill-joys. She can get along with just about everyone, causing her to be someone who kind of just wanders from group to group and doesn't really have a set circle of friends that are solidly her own. Although she does wish she had that sometimes, she still doesn't mind. Besides, the more people she can get along with, the more smiles she can spread and that's more than alright for her.

Although as a friend or teammate you can absolutely trust and count on her, she can be a bit clumsy, absent-minded, and disorganized at other times which might make her come off as unreliable when the consequences are a lot less severe. Majority of this is because of the effects her quirk have on her sleep schedule which then just affect her overall ability to function like a regular human being (lmao), but at this point it's become so frequent that it's all just become permanent habits. Also because of her quirk she's usually pretty sleepy when she's not trying to get people to laugh and is very prone to falling asleep in class, on public transportation, etc. So I'd advise keeping an eye out if you would rather she not accidentally fall asleep on you.

Aurora really does try her best to stay positive, you can't make others smile if you're not yourself, so she's always busying herself by surrounding herself with people. When she's alone she doesn't have as much distraction to keep her from being sinking into more negative thoughts and feeligns. She's been through a lot in the past several years with both her parents splitting up and especially losing her best friend. It was there plan to go to UA together to become a team of heroes, but a lot of tragic factors lead to her friend taking his own life before he was able to accomplish his dream of becoming a pro. So when it is she manages to have time where she's by herself she tends to dwell on thoughts and memories associated with his memory. She tries not to let those feelings get to her too much though and if she can, uses them to fuel her determination to keep giving it her all and live out his dream for him.

Quirk

Daydream: Allows her to project dreams and nightmares into reality. In the end everything is just simply and illusion but just like how you can feel things in a dream despite them not being real, you can still touch whatever she projects as long as she can keep up enough concentration to keep the item solid. She also can only build dream illusions on top of or around the already existing environment. Meaning she can create terrain or make something appear to be something else, but she cannot dig into the surrounding enviroment or take anything from reality away. If she touches foreheads with another person she is able to project dreams/nightmares that are personal to that individual and in the future she eventually figures out she's even able to put people to sleep into dreams as well through touching foreheads. As of right now her quirk works best for distractions and defense as she uses a mix of leg-based martial arts for close-combat attacks. Lastly, aside from having to keep concentration so the illusion doesn't wear off, the more she uses her quirk the more it interferes with her own sleep. Projecting dreams drains her so that she needs more sleep than usual to recover and be well rested while projecting nightmares causes insomnia. The lack of sleep then causes the chain effect of making it hard for her to concentrate on her quirk so while using nightmares is generally more powerful, she prefers to stick with dreams since the consequences are easier to deal with.

Equipment

Hover Boots: Due to Aurora being rather skilled at roller skating, she had boots designed to hover just slightly above the ground so that she can glide/skate across on just about any surface, allowing her to close in the range of her opponent or escape quicker while using her quirk as a distraction. The boots are also very solid on the outside with a very cushiony interior to protect her legs when delivering kicks in close-combat and also makes said kicks a litle more powerful.

Trivia:

• Aurora was born in America and has lived there all her life but moved to Japan so that she could attent UA high. Her friend was Japanese (they met when he lived in America for a few years while his mother taught there) and had dreamed of going to UA high to become a hero, so Aurora kept the initial promise she made to him to going with him, though now the situation has changed so that instead of going with him to one day be his sidekick, she is now taking his place entirely and chasing after his dream for him as she refuses to let that die with him.
• She really enjoys making people smile and usually does everything in her power to do that. Whether cracking dumb jokes, pulling harmless pranks, are putting on little shows and tricks with her quirk, one of her main goals in life is to make everyong smile and laugh even just a little more. Thus when asked why she wants to become a hero, she answers 'To make people smile' as a cover up for the real reason which she doesn't like to bring up to anyone. This answer is still not a total lie though
• As briefly mentioned previously, Aurora really enjoys roller skating and is rather skilled about it! She's usually skating during her free time or whatever chance she gets. She even usually skates to school rather than taking a train, bike, or walking!
• Aurora has a bad habit of falling asleep in class or anywhere really if she's not kept distracted. This is largely a result from using her quirk but it is still partially just part of her nature too.
• She really likes Japanese idols, Magical Girls, and kawaii Harajuku fashion. Her friend was the one who introduced these things to her and the bright colors and encouraging themes and ability to make people smile are what really made her fall in love. She takes inspiration from a lot of these areas for her hero-image and even every day fashion.
• Her mom's quirk is the ability to put people to sleep while her dad's allowed him to create illusions. So combining the two is how Aurora ended up being able to create illusion-like projections for her quirk.
• Aurora's mom left her and her dad a few years after she was born but her father is a Pro Hero stationed in the US.
