Afon is simple, and far too complex, at the same time. Almost everything he says is a lie, dedicated to the idea of making him seem untrustworthy. He doesn't want anyone to know him, or what he actually thinks and feels, so he lies. If you ask him anything, he will spin a story to answer. Its... completely unknown whats true or not, because he never gives a straight answer.
He does miss being honest, to a point, and tries to be sometimes- moments of vulnerability- but they don't last long, because if anyone picks up on them, he'll slip right back into the lies.

Story
Afon was the youngest of three, with two older brothers. His parents cared for all of them and treated them well, and he had a pretty happy childhood! He was spoiled and he loved his family- even if his brothers fought with him sometimes. He was a good kid, who tried his best not to get into trouble, and if something happened, he'd fess up to his crimes immediately to avoid getting in more trouble. He was such a good kid...
& then he was hushed.
One night in his childhood, Afon was woken from sleep by a sound. He got out of bed, and went to his parents for comfort, but something stopped him. Something pure black, with white bones. It wasn't a shape he could really recognize, but he didn't want to stand around and wait for it to move. He went to shout for his parents- but then it moved. It raised a bony finger to its face, and it told him 'hush'. Afon couldn't fight this thing- he was too scared- so he listened. He was a good kid, and went back to bed. He tried to sleep through the sounds, but he couldn't.
Afon ended up running from his home as soon as he heard the thing leave. He up and down the streets screaming, and stopped at every house, and even the police station- but no one would help him. They only wanted to tell him that he had a nightmare, that he was imagining things, that he needed to go back home before his parents got worried. Afon didn't know what to do- he tired hismelf out and gave up eventually. Afon walked through his home, trailing his fingers along deep gashes in the walls. He made his way to his parents room, and though there were no bodies, he wasn't stupid. The blood on their comforter told him enough, but he tried to ignore it as he hopped onto their bed, pulling their pillows against his body and hugging them as tight as he could- weeping until he fell asleep again.
& then his life was over.
The following morning, he walked around his home and took everything in, again. He headed to the police station for the last time, to tell them everything again. They only asked where his parents were, if he was lost, why he was making up stories- never believing him.
So Afon lied. If no one was going to listen, he wasn't going to try. He's never stopped- he thinks he's forgotten how to tell the truth. He used to be such a good kid.
