Regina Lutierre

the raphim spectre
  • Age - 73, born Nelalvi 4th, Henki
  • Residence - Oysphe, occasionally Raphim
  • Vessel - a small ghost ship called 'The white lady'
  • Species - Pakkeli closed species. Pakaasu
  • Occupation - transports goods to the isles. 'pirate'
  • Gender - cis woman

Used to be a force to be reckoned with, a woman with the confidence of a skilled, weather-beaten warrior, even while decorated with the pride of a Lutierre 'princess'. Friendly and intuitive enough to never be hated for her bluntness. And while that nature hasn't mellowed out, she's trying her best to quench her righteous anger before it takes her somewhere she never wishes to go. Revenge is for the bitter and she likes to think she's anything but.

She's a practical, rational woman in healthy non-joykill doses; emotive, yet not necessarily sensitive. She's a poor listener, gods is she a mighty poor one, but she knows how to win most anyone over over on her side. Depends if they're amicable to being won over. Enjoys the spotlight, though doesn't demand it, perhaps too persistant for her own good. A Juuou that breezes through life. Holds grudges difficultly but durably.

Born to supply the army and raised as a cage fighting dog, Regina was the first of father Imre and mother Philomena's two 'mistakes'. Handed over to a nanny who cared little for the girl, she was a wild thing who could barely speak when Imre's house slave Livien moved into their home. She clutched onto him immediatelly. He, however grudgingly and sympathetically... let her. By the time Caspian came around several years later, they'd become a tiny family.

She was born for the fight in ways different than her brother. He always strived to earn Philomena's respect, Regina did it effortlessly - and begrudgingly. A love of battle and a mind for unpredictability unlike a very rigid Caspian madde for a formidable opponent and kept her from the cold air of superiority her whole bloodline seemed to possess. The golden child. The reckless golden child without an ounce of seriousintent where Philomena's plans were concerned. Glory was never her end-all but who doesn't like topping the ranks. Lead to her eventual loss and downfall when, driven by a ludicrous age-old tradition, Philomena brought them to the top of the Raphim mountains. After they'd spent days malnourished, cold and tired on the freezing mountaintops, she arrived with the offer of salvation - food, water, shelter and a 'surprise'. All she's brought, she's brought for the winner. Of their final, glorious fight of superiority. There's only one little detail that Regina doesn't discover until Caspian emerges victorious from the battle and Philomena almost goads his disorientated mind into finishing the job - it's to the death. She almost dies by the hand of her crazed, hungry brother that day and she never lets him forget it... They escape alive, however, and, when Regina at last has the time to sit and think of all that has transpired, suspivion suddenly falls on her whole family. Their half-sister's recent mysterious death of 'exposure' at the top of Raphim has been recontextualized by this new experience. Perhaps another result of the Lutierre tradition... As it stands, Regina is looking for her sister and also tracking down another sibling - the last to see her alive - hoping to be proven wrong.
