bit is owned by the technficial company, originally called technichip before a good chunk of their team split off to make a competing rival restauraunt and company due to their ideas for animatronics, robots, and a place for them to perform being allegedly stolen by a higher up in technificial who then presented the ideas as if they were his own. therefore, they rushed the same idea out and two rival restauraunts took the stage in around 1998 and 2001 respectively. the companys have been at eachothers throats since 1998 up to the modern restauraunt in the 2000s. ( likely 2002-2014 era. maybe longer maybe less long idk its in the 2000s though. )

the restauraunt bit originally belonged to had animatronics, mediocre to decent food usually, and an age demographic that was catered more towards a younger age demographic, while scraps restauraunt was aimed more towards teens - bit is the safer and more reliable choice, parents often report, to take your children to. although, many children love bit, some seemingly lament the fact their parents do not let them go to the rival restauraunt, enjoying the appeal of scrap and his food, humor, performances, design, etc more than bit. although plenty of children still like bit regardless, even though some complain about his sometimes soulless, glazed over looking eyes that are almost constantly wide open with not much changing expression other than movement of the pupils. he might not even have eyelids at all.

bit is quite a normal animatronic entertainer, cracking very lighthearted and safe jokes, and being generally kid-friendly - even his voice provided by a voice actor is like a kids show protagonists voice. his music is surprisingly not entirely kiddy nursery rhymes and are quite good, but most prefer scrap in terms of performance.

bit and scrap sometimes perform together, sometimes perform seperately, but it seems the animatronic was programmed with a hatred for bit and most of the animatronics originally owned by technificial.

because of this scrap and bit will often have back and forth, where bit isnt really even directly insulting scrap, but more egging him on and making him more angry by being annoying or doing exactly what scrap complains about - either on purpose or unintentionally. this has not been edited out of scraps coding because the audience of all ages seem to like the "tom and jerry"-like dynamic - only difference being, both are cats.. so its more of a catfight.. bits coding is only responding how it would if a real person were talking to him in the same way - mostly acting innocently and not trying to purposefully anger the other, but still doing it anyways unintentionally.

the differences between bit and scrap mainly are that bit has more expressive eyes but no eyebrows ( at least in the model drawn usually ), he has much less unique of a learning ai and a personality than scrap does ( most of his responses are predetermined and handpicked from a large bank of responses, but its still a lot less flexible than scraps personality AI - think of it as like, the bubblechat in games like clubpenguin vs being able to type whatever you want in the normal chatbox ), usually being a people-pleaser that acts not as realistic or personable as scrap is. however, parents prefer this as bit is way more predictable and safer than scrap.

when the restauraunts fused, there is an option to only come for bit due to the concerns about scraps humor and difference in age demographic ( this likely needs to be communicated before you enter the restauraunt, or at certain hours they solo perform in different rooms ), although scrap himself has somehow been found to try and purposefully go against this rule and try to wiggle his way into bits areas and shows out of spite. perhaps it was coded in as a last resort from his original developers? who knows.

his main instrument is a microphone, usually taking the lead singer role, although he and all of the other robots are purposefully programmed to be very flexible. their instrument playing skills and singing the songs they perform are actually well renowned for an animatronic restauraunt, their performances being the main draw surprisingly - and the games too. the food is pretty good when its done right , but very mediocre when it isn't.
