Scrap (fnaf au)

scrap was owned by a rival restauraunt/company branching off from the company that made bit ( technificial, originally called technichip before the split ) due to having their idea stolen by a higher up. therefore, they rushed the same idea out both out of passion and spite and two rival restauraunts took the stage in around 1998 and 2001 respectively. the companys have been at eachothers throats since 1998 up to the modern restauraunt in the 2000s. ( likely 2002-2014 era. maybe longer maybe less long idk its in the 2000s though. )

the restauraunt scrap originally belonged to had animatronics, pretty quality food for a chain restauraunt/diner/whatever it was, and an age demographic that was catered more towards teens - hence why scrap is so, for lack of a better word, edgy and relatable and more personal - instead of bits more typical more soulless personality made to entice small children. eventually, the rival company was bought out ( they were going bankrupt, and the other restauraunt was simply just doing monumentally better financially, so they reluctantly agreed around something like 2008 ) and now all of the scraps and bits perform in one location.

scrap is ( at least seemingly ) not haunted, but rumors often go around about him scaring children if they are acting "out of line". if the animatronic scrap is personally asked about these situations, he just laughs it off. it seems to be a programmed in punishment to keep misbehaving children ( like socially misbehaving in a rude way to other children generally - bullying is usually when this happens ) in line, supposedly... ? it only makes sense i suppose considering his main target demographic is teenagers.

bit and scrap sometimes perform together, sometimes perform seperately, but it seems the animatronic was programmed with a hatred for bit and most of the animatronics originally owned by technificial.

because of this scrap and bit will often have back and forth, where bit isnt really even directly insulting scrap, but more egging him on and making him more angry by being annoying or doing exactly what scrap complains about - either on purpose or unintentionally. this has not been edited out of scraps coding because the audience of all ages seem to like the "tom and jerry"-like dynamic. only difference being, both are cats.. so its more of a catfight.

the differences between bit and scrap mainly are that scrap has more expressive eyebrows, he has much more of a learning ai and a personality than bit does, often being honest instead of being a people-pleaser. this may lower sales due to a rude interaction with scrap, but his original company owners seemed to greatly believe that you should get yourself together and not be extremely rude to others. which is ironic, because scrap can be rude to others, but mostly people deemed "deserving". otherwise, his rudeness is lighthearted.

his main instrument is a guitar, although he and all of the other robots are purposefully programmed to be very flexible. their instrument playing skills and the songs they perform are actually well renowned for an animatronic restauraunt, their performances being the main draw surprisingly - and the games too. the food is pretty good when its done right , but very mediocre when it isn't.
