About

Hornet and Wasp are brother and sister. But that's all they know, and about all anyone else knows, too. None of the Amitolans know what they are, how their bodies function, or where in Sornieth they came from. The pair of mysterious dragons- or creatures that can be compared to dragons- were found perched precariously on a Blacksand Annex lava pipe, sitting so close to each other that they may as well have been conjoined at the hip, watching the steam flow into the sky with intense fixation. They didn't even seem to notice Indium's heavy, clanking footfalls as he walked up behind them, before carefully scooping the pair onto his back and carrying them home.

Compared to his friendly, but introverted sister, Hornet seems quite a bit more outgoing and learned how to speak and read Draconic considerably quicker than she did. He loves to walk around Mountainhome and the Heartwood, striking up conversation with any dragon that he happens to walk past, but just as often, he's been found sitting with his beloved sister where the base of Mountainhome meets the Starwood Strand, watching the glittering blossoms and shining stars with that very same fixation that Indium observed the very first day he met them. Nobody's quite sure why they seem to like watching things so much. Perhaps it's a bonding experience for the two.

Sometimes, when he's all alone or in the company of nobody but Wasp, Hornet has thoughts. Weird thoughts, that he can't quite place. Wasp sometimes says she has the weird thoughts too. They don't sound like they're coming from in his head; more like they're coming from...somewhere else. But they're quiet, and muffled, and he doesn't understand them. Oh, well. Surely it doesn't mean anything...right?
