Who knows? He's whipped by Sadayo Kawakami (more due to his own feelings than anything going on, on her end), but he's just her work spouse, and he doesn't seem to want more than that. Probably? He's kind of impossible to read, so it's impossible to know for sure.

Kind of an autistic prettyboy.

Setsuna grew up being pushed around by other children and bullied for his "odd manner" (autism), and it led him to develop a nigh-permanent habit of looking down when he talks to people, or walks around. He does it more when he's already nervous, which is a lot of the time. He has lost a lot of loved ones to death, so he seems to have befriended it, to the extent of talking to skulls in his class, even keeping one with him at all times as a sort of comfort item. Its name is Adam, and it's the skull of a Neanderthal. At least it's built to simulate one, it's not a genuine artifact - but he treats it with such unbelievable devotion when no one's looking, you would assume it WAS the genuine article. Adam is his husband just a tiny bit. It's alright. He's coping with some things.
