Reincarnation!Self-insert into Link from BoTW.
Locke wakes up in Link's body, given a quest that was meant for the other to fulfil. He looks down, and sees Link resting fitfully in the dais he had been healing in for the past 100 years, and yet here Locke stands, in a hylian body, with blond hair and blue eyes that doesn't belong to him.
Locke sees himself in the mirror. Fair skinned, dark hair and slanted eyes, but his outwards appearance to everyone else is that of the Champion Link.
However, as soon as he opens his mouth, those that knew Link would notice that there's something different. A changed disposition, one more cautious, tactical, afraid. One more community-focused, with a concerned compassion towards others who don't even know him, carrying a guilt that can't be defined as misplaced.
Most obviously, the original Champion Link of a century ago was mute.
Something's different with this one. How this affects Hyrule, we can only pray and see.
