Lane

Sweet, Charming, Shy, Rebellious, Fake, Mischievous, Soft, Coy, Calm, Energetic, Defensive, Feisty, Ponderous 

Lane looks soft and is soft, but that's not all there is to him. He's definitely more mischievous than he often lets on. He used to be a delinquent in school but was very good at cleaning up his act and playing coy. His innocence may be fake, but he's often kind and thoughtful. He loves just putting in some headphones and zoning out to music for hours. Not easily flustered, but knows how to play to his appearance.

Lane is in a constant rebellious phase along with his friend group. He's the most energetic of the pack. When he gets with his friends, he's very excitable and feisty, but when he's alone he becomes very quiet and defensive. His shyness is as fake as it is real. He's uncomfortable with some parts of himself while he is very comfortable with others, so those two sides of him really tug and pull at him. It's a bit of a defense mechanism to try to get people to think he is weak  and cute until he can prove them wrong. Lane was never the best student, but that didn't mean he lacked street smarts. He really got around and new how to play things to his advantage. And don't be fooled by that thin soft appearance, he's physically aggressive too. He relies on his friends a lot to help him out, but he still calls himself independent.  

 Lane is the only son of neglectful, divorced parents and his behavioral issues partially are due to attempting to attract the attention of his parents and partially as an attempt to escape them.  He was born with the name Elliot, but never goes by it 1) because he thinks its nerdy 2) his best friend, who is a nerd, is also named Elliot and their friend group didn't want to deal with the confusion 3) he always preferred the name "Lane" and its androgyny. 

He plays the drums in Liam's experimental punk band, and  unknown to his friends, he works part time as a bunny waiter at a club to make money for his schooling because the band is broke.
