HISTORY -  
childhood
- raised in an abandoned military fortress by her 2 dads (cal & ringer) and this kick-ass person who she really admired (ash)
- spent a lot of time over at rowans place also because cal would just drop her off there
- pretty sheltered but like... gained weirdly in depth knowledge of certain things because her guardians would teach her (eg. types of dance & movement, cooking, plants, basic fighting skills)

teens-ish
- started "running away from home" (aka she just kind of left to go to the surrounding villages every now and then)
- theres so much more to the world to explore.....
- stopped visiting rowan bc she felt she was too old to hang out with him
- decided to leave home
- started travelling around the continent - stopping by different towns and doing odd jobs and street performances
- met some cool people including a prince of an area who she became pen pals with and this old lady who she watched die and misses very much

young-mid adult
- came back home because ringer (dad #1) is dying and is fucking, torn up over it
- meets rowan again after forever and stays with him for a while & realizes she REALLY LIKES HIM
- learns that theres this pirate ship looking for new crewmates and is like.. my chance to escape all my feelings of sadness over my dad dying and this weird crush and im LEAVING
- jumps on board
