As a nudibrancha Ylmyar can produce neurotoxins from her body, and with her added magic capacity she can alter it and make any wide number of chemicals that affect how most lifeforms with a nervous system function.
This can range from poisons, mind altering gases, and even liquids that can be used as special medicine. |
◈ appearance ◈Ylmyar is a nudibranch alien with a plump, round physique. Their skin is supple, squishy and a pale blue. Atop Ylmyar's head are hair tendrils- a darker blue with a stripe of navy down the middle of each appendage. Since they can regrow without much fuss, they change their hair length fairly often.
It's impossible to tell without pushing aside xe's bang's, but Ylmyar's eyes are very basic and appear to be black dots. The vision provided is very poor, which is why Ylmyar's bangs cover xir's eyes almost at all times.
Their wardrobe changes a lot, but they always wear a red jewel pendant, a symbol of their loyalty to their homeland. |

Ylmyar is for the most part, a good person. They like being around folks, and they're outgoing and a decent friend
and ally. However, their outgoing nature can easily turn into fanaticism and they can lose track of priorities.
As a friend, they like proximity and warmth. Is almost on the clingy side, as Mya does have a tendency to grab hold of
people just for the closeness.
She has a particular interest in anatomy, body parts and insides of most creatures not from her home planet. From this interest,
she knows quite a bit about healing and medical procedures. Ylmyar isn't a licensed doctor in any sense of the word, so
is technically a quack. (She still knows what she's doing though, she just has no legal right to perform surgery on people.)

History
Ylmyar was the offspring of a very affluent individual in the Krykin government. Their mother functioned as a soothsayer to help
them make better political decisions, so Ylmyar's family had always relatively been well off and comfortable.
Although they lived with their mother until the beginning of adulthood, their parent never taught them the ways of soothsaying or even magical abilities, although Ylmyar showed great promise and interest. To search for a teacher, xe humbly sought council from the ancient one- the planet's spiritual leader.
Since they expected to be eaten, which was the fate of many before her, they were surprised to find the great being calmly speaking to them. It promised to share but a morsel of the magical knowledge it possessed in exchange for service and loyalty. During their stay with the deity, their interest in the healing
and medical expertise began.
This setup was fine with Ylmyar, but the limits on what their master was willing to teach them discouraged them. This was the catalyst for them to leave their home planet, and with his leader's blessing he left to expand his horizons on the nearest colony Terra Zenso. It was there where they met Dionysus, and eventually Freyja. The trio banded together, and they've been traveling around as salvage engineers ever since.

- Like the rest of her subspecies, Ylmyar is gynandrous and has two sets of working reproductive organs,
fused into one set of genitalia.
