About

Pann was born from the sea and raised by mermaids on the shore of a small fisherman's village. She lives in a cave far under the lighthouse and generally doesn't interact much with the other villagers. She's friendly and kind, but doesn't know human customs very well and is easily overwhelmed by things that aren't familiar to her. Despite this she's still curious about the village and would love to learn more about the people there.

Pann is able to breath underwater without any restraints, and can gift this ability to humans for a brief period of time. Seachildren were originally meant to be mediators between the creatures of the sea and the people of the land, but have become very rare as time progressed. The mermaids and the villagers live peacefully but completely seperated, with most villagers having even forgotten that there's a mermaid society hidden near their shore. Because of this Pann was never introduced to the duties she traditionally was suposed to fulfill. 

Relationships

Abby Stone
Pann's best friend and romantic interest. Abby is the one that's been slowly introducing Pann to human culture and the people of the village. In return Pann takes her on little underwater adventures a lot.

Daugaard
The mermaid closest to Pann, he wasn't part of the mermaids who raised her, but is the one who's been looking after her for the most the past few years. He's a very close friend

Brennan Sigurdsson
Has been secretly leaving out baskets with food and other basic items for Pann for years, but was too shy to actually go up to her. Became friends after Abby introduced them to eachother.
