Dame chosen specifically by the Great King himself, Black Banner was a colt born and raised specifically to be the Kings chosen guard. He was raised under scrutiny, molded into the perfect knight and brainwashed to serve until his dying breath. He has never known any freedom, only the occasional comfort of his sister when given a night off to rest before his next rotation. He is both a sword and shield in one, his body rigid and firm enough to take the strongest blow and his wings trimmed and altered to cut through bone. He may never know the kiss of the wind in the sky, but he can feel the hiss of the air when his wings snap. A warrior through and through, his life is deprived of happiness and mirth. A living weapon, he knows little about the world.

While intellectual on behalf of the Great King, so the two might have deep conversations into the night when the royal felt a hint of kindness towards his Guard, Black Banner is terrible at upholding any sort of conversation or relationship. He is awkward, stumbles over familiarity, and knows not how to be conversational. A sight to behold in battle, he's a fumbling whelp in any other situation. He tries his best, but his only concept of the world is serving his King and so he rarely has the opportunity let alones wishes to socialize or expand his horizons.
