INSOMNIA
INTRODUCTION
Vain and condescending, Insomnia treats her pitiful like they are pets, more than anything. She is strong willed and cold, coming across as aloof and snobby to most people she meets.
She can be quite maternal at times, particularly with Elayna. She also has a soft spot for Nymeria, but she is a far harsher critic when it comes to the latter.
She tends to stay out of politics for as long as she possibly can, keeping herself secluded from the rest of the demons in her icey wasteland of territory. Being one of the oldest demon lords, she is incredibly powerful, but keeping to herself is the majority of the reason she has survived as long as she has in her seat of power.

STORY
Insomnia has always been a watcher, a quiet acheiver, and this has benefitted her greatly in her seat of power. She is one of the oldest of the lords, the only demon to ever have the Insomnia name, and due to this her powers are near godlike. She could have taken the throne of Hell if she truly desired, but this has never been in her nature.
She has witnessed the rise and fall of many lords in her time. She knows that getting too invloved in the goings on of Hell, or the movements of the angels, is a sure way to earn your demise. She does the bare minimum of what is required of her by Satan, and other than that, stays isolated in her icey domain.
Early on, in the foundation of the council of lords, she found a tucked away chunk of territory to call her own. Hidden in a valley cradled by mountains, far from the central territory of Satan, she built her wasteland. As her powers grew over time, her castle of ice got larger, and the environment around grew ever colder. A wonderful deterrant for most demons, who primarily thrive in the fiery pits. Insomnia gradually became untouchable, cementing herself as the only lord of her name.
During the 100 year war between the angels and the demons, Insomnia stayed out of it until the very end. Only then did she lend her power to the other lords, and was one of the few that stood against God himself in battle. A display of power to remind the other demons that she was in fact still a force to be feared after being hidden away for so long.
RELATIONSHIPS
ELAYNA
"Daughter"
Elayna is the baby of the family, and Insomnia's blatant favourite. Elayna gets away with far more than the rest of Insomnia's pitiful, however the lord gets very anxious when it comes to her favourite pet. She is always keeping tabs on her whereabouts, and generally being a helicopter parent. She is incredibly protective of her.
NYMERIA
"Daughter"
Insomnia is far harsher on her elder "child" and is quick to scold her. She considers Nymeria to be pretty, but not very intelligent, and her thoughts and theories when she does open her mouth are considered ridiculous by Insomnia. However, despite their tense relationship, they do have a lot of love for each other, and Insomnia is still very protective of her.
DEMENTIA
Friend
Being two of the lords that generally keep to themselves, they ended up finding comfort in each other's company. Mostly they drink wine together while their children have playdates. It's kind of like a mother's group situation.
CAT
Friend
Another demon lord that Insomnia grew to enjoy the company of. Cat is also a part of their "mother's group".
NIKI
Aquaintance
Insomnia was on edge at first at the thought of Elayna having a girlfriend, however with time she has grown to appreciate Nikki, knowing that she too has Elayna's best interests at heart. If Insomnia isn't there to look after her favourite child, at least she can rest a little easier knowing that Nikki would protect Elayna with her life.
STRAWBERRY MOUSSE
Enemy
Insomnia is absolutely terrified of the creature. She would kill it, but she knows how heartbroken Elayna would be, so instead she keeps as much of a distance as she possibly can from the critter.
