"I'll take any job as long as it pays well."
Datura has practically no moral code. He'll do anything for money, including killing innocent people. But in his mind, no one is truly innocent. He's grown a hatred for most beings, especially those of races outside of his own, and he has trouble trusting anyone. He prefers to keep to himself. He appears to be an open and honest person, but he only ever shows a surface level of himself to anyone, and he's very good at lying and manipulating people. Though he dislikes others, he would never cause harm toward someone unless it would benefit him in some way (such as an assasination job). He isn't one to let emotions dictate his actions, and he views anyone who does act on their emotions to be a fool. Though, he does enjoy teasing people and getting under their skin, especially when it comes to Zephyr.n
It is very difficult to catch datura off guard or get under his skin. He is a bit sensitive about his short height, but he won't let it show. He also strongly dislikes Teifling stereotypes, but he's very used to hearing them. He avoids letting anyone into his life as he hates feeling vulnerable. He always seems to have a snarky comback for any comment thrown his way. He prides himself on always being able to come out on top in an argument, and he absolutely hates to lose or be made a fool of. He's normally prepared for anything, so if something truly unexpected catches him off guard, he completely freezes up, but this is an incredibly rare occurance.

Battle
History
Datura grew up very poor, and his parents were both murdered in a hate crime when he was very young. The amount of prejudice he faced growing up for being a tiefling shaped him into the person he is today. He had to fend for himself after his parents' death, as his home was also destroyed. The perpetrator was never apprehended, but the search was very brief. No care was provided for him after he lost everything, which began his distrust of law enforcement and the government. Very few people in his area seemed bothered by the whole event as well, even though his family had been peaceful, law-abiding citizens, and no one was willing to provide him any help. He began stealing food and sleeping in abandoned buildings in order to servive.
Begining Jobs
When Datura was a young teen, he began taking jobs, anything that he could get his hands on, no matter how depraved. He quickly became known for taking all the jobs no one else wanted to touch. It wasn't long before he took his first assasination job, which eventually became his forte. He decided somewhere along the line that if people were so convinced that tieflings are monsters, then maybe he has no choice than to be exactly that.
Prison Job
When Datura was in his late teens, he began working for his home's largest prison system. He worked in the shadows, silencing people who were a threat to the prison or killing people who would be too problematic to keep imprisoned, as the public officials running the prison could not legally commit these acts themselves. This job only lasted a few years, before Datura decided to go back to being independant due to his hatred of law enforcement and being controled. He was sworn to secrecy, but besides that the prison let him go with little difficulty. He still has connections within the prison as a result of this previous alliance, though he only relies on these connections as a last resort when he's in a tough spot.
