All his close friends love to us the nickname Stripes a lot, and he's also the type who definitely enjoys cute lovey-dovey nicknames from his partners, even if he might end up a bit of a blushing mess.

Link can probably be described best as an absolute twink shortie. He's the shortest of his friends, only managing to reach 5'1 - though, he always insists ears count, which might add a couple extra inches. His skin is smooth and soft, a fairly light tone with freckles dotting all over his face, especially his nose, and the tops of his shoulders. He tends to bruise quite easily, and it's not too uncommon for him to have a couple bruises and scrapes. His build is thin and lithe with some light muscle definition. His face is decorated with three stripes on each cheek and a small, imperfect dot near the left side of his mouth, mimicking the markings he has in his tiger form. His cheeks are slightly pink more often than not, though he finds it kind of annoying at times. He has a long scar going across his face, starting a little under his hairline on the right side of his forehead and crossing over his nose to his left cheek, lining up with the center of his left eye about halfway down to his mouth. His canine teeth are a little bigger than normal, giving him four little fangs. His eyes are both cyan, but the right one is a much lighter, softer shade, looking a little closer to an icy blue, while the left one is darker. His eyes are framed with nice eyelashes and fairly neat brows. His hair is ginger and cut short, swept over his forehead some somehow always looking just a little on the effortlessly-messy-but-cute side. He has a pair of tiger ears and a tail, both of which match his hair colour and are detailed with black stripes as well as white markings on the back of his ears and tip of his tail. He has a single piercing in each of his human ears.
In his tiger form, Link's actually a pretty average size, maybe leaning just a little to the small side. He has short, orange fur, just a little lighter than the ginger colour of his human form's hair. His stripes are black, some of the most notable markings being the three black stripes on his cheeks and a slightly imperfect dot by his mouth, matching the ones in his human form. He also has a white underbelly and chin with a little break of orange fur on the top half of his neck that separates the two, as well as having white on his tail tip and the markings on the back of his ears. His body is still thin, although his muscles are more defined and he looks fairly strong. His eyes are both cyan, the right one being much lighter and the left being dark like his human form. His paw pads are dark and calloused, with splotchy pink and brown colouring. His claws are strong and powerful, while his fangs are more on the average side
Link especially loves wearing soft, bright coloured shirts, usually paired with jeans - typically in blue or black shades - or shorts if the weather calls for it. His closet is mostly full of pastels and bright colours, and plenty of incredibly soft graphic tees. He also has a small collection of tank tops, including one or two black ones he doesn't wear much, and some that are bright and / or have colourful or flowery designs, which he prefers much more. He also probably has the biggest collection of oversized sweaters you've ever seen, as well as way too many beanies because you'd better believe he gets cold way too easily. Still, he's horrible at planning ahead and as soon as the weather starts to get warmer or as fall starts he'll probably end up asking for or just stealing your jacket because he forgot his own and got cold. At least a quarter of his jackets probably came from Grey or Kishan, and he probably gets at least one or two jackets when his birthday or Christmas comes around.

Most people would probably describe Link as being downright adorable. He's a very sweet, loving boy who wouldn't even hurt a fly without good reason. When he's not spending his time lazing about in a nice sunny spot, his tiny little body can hold a whole ton of energy, and he's always looking to run off and find just about anything to do to entertain himself and preferably get moving. He can be a little on the sensitive side, but he's also gentle, super cuddly, and incredibly gullible. Besides Kishan, he's likely to be first to offer someone a hand, and he loves nothing more than to make people happy. He's not the best at being too sassy, but he can get pretty sarcastic at times, especially with his friends. He's generally pretty friendly and can get along with people fairly easily. He's not great at telling people off, and he's more likely to freeze up or try to laugh it off and avoid conflict, though he'll typically end up looking visibly uncomfortable if the situation is bad enough. He's absolutely horrible at saying no, and will usually just try to shrug it off and let people down gently without outright denying whatever it is they want. He'll probably do practically anything you tell him to with the right persuasion or enough insistence.

Link can freely switch between his tiger form and his human form with pretty minimal pain, although occasionally it'll get more painful for some unknown reason, or if it's been a while since the last time. Depending on his mood or how tired he is, it can be kind of exhausting.

Samantha Daines {Aunt / Guardian} {Formerly Smith} A human, they aren't super close, maybe just a little distant. He tends to try not to bother her as there's more often than not a lot of stress going on
Finnick Daines {Uncle / Guardian} A tiger shifter, more on the distant side, tends to work a ton and otherwise seems too tired to be bothered. He doesn't seem to approve of Link much, especially not his bright fashion choices or his friends too much. He seems to especially hate Link's favourite blue hoodie for some reason. The type to make offhanded homophobic comments. Jason's older brother.
Jamie Daines {Cousin} His cousin who appears to be mostly, if not fully, human, though there may be slight shifter traits in there somewhere. He's a little over two years older than him (17, birthday in July). He owns his own car and will - with fake reluctance, of course - drive Link around when he's not busy working at Burger King (if he's still managed to keep his job, that is, though he'll probably just move on to Chuck E Cheese if he doesn't). The closest to Link out of the family, he definitely fits the role of vaguely punk older brother, and he's earned the spot of helping Link pick out his important outfits. Secretly, very, very deep down in his heart, he doesn't mind it all that much. Usually, when things get bad in the house, he'll make some excuse of going to the mall or something and Link will gratefully come along. In most cases they'll go for a little drive, either listening to music, spilling secrets, or giving advice. Once everything calms down, they'll stop at the mall as promised, maybe go to the food court or stop at a Dairy Queen somewhere, and he'll buy Link something. He's the only one in the family who knows Link is gay, and will often remind him to just ignore the idiotic old man, as he likes to call his dad. He will, 100%, punch a homophobe as long as it won't get him kicked out of the house or disowned, and he'll beat up anyone who touches his cousin. He towers over Link at 6'4, and affectionately calls him Runt. He's a little on the pale side, maybe a little more than Link, with constantly messy black-brown hair, dull blue-green eyes and a 'whatever' kinda attitude. He probably plays bass.
Violet Kendall {Best friend} A dark angel and wolf shifter hybrid, they're pretty close and have a good relationship
Kishan Amaris {Best friend} A wolf and dragon shifter hybrid, they're quite close and love to have rambles sessions or chill under blankets and watch Netflix for a few hours, he's also quite warm his fluffy wolf form is especially good for cuddling. They're quite comfortable with each other
Grey Huntsman {Best friend} They're super close and pretty comfortable with each other, though Grey's a little more stand-offish when it comes to things like being super close besides maybe some casual things like their knees bumping or, a little more rarely, their legs pressing together when their sitting together, as well as things like changing in front of each other, though they will occasionally go for a swim in the pond by his house, and Link doesn't seem to notice him looking away, though it might be because he's doing the same.

The entirety of the start of Link's life was.. a bumpy road, to say the least. To start, his mother, Diane, was quite nervous about the whole pregnancy, but his father, Jason, reassured her and promised to help her through it. They both dreamed of having a big, wonderfully warm horde of cubs family one day, but the idea of her first pregnancy and the unpredictability of it all terrified her. Eventually, with enough encouraging and support from both her husband and her family, they began trying. It took longer than they had expected, but soon enough they finally came up positive. About halfway through the pregnancy, the metaphorical bumpy road turned into pothole city when Jason died. Thankfully, the instant they heard the news her family was right by her side, helping her through as much as they possibly could. It was at Jason's funeral a few weeks later when she was comforted by Jason's older brother, Finnick, and his wife Samantha. They hadn't been too close before, but she ended up spending the night spilling her heart out to them and almost instantly forming a strong connection, sharing all of her insecurities and worries with them. What was going to happen now? She couldn't possibly handle a baby on her own, she was barely going to be able to afford her own house! What was she going to do with it? She couldn't just lose her child! While she didn't have a definite plan at the moment, they helped her get her mind on the right track, and they became one of her biggest helps throughout the pregnancy, spending more and more time with her until she eventually just stayed with them for the last little bit. Another big shock came soon after when they realised, oh shit, the baby's coming early, likely due to the intense stress and worrying Diane had been going through, especially since Jason's death. With Finnick and Samantha being quite insistent on being on either side of her to hold her hands, Link was born in the early hours of the morning, screaming and looking impossibly too tiny and sickly. If he had siblings, there would be no doubt he'd have been considered the runt of the litter. It was soon decided that Finnick and Samantha would take him in, Diane being unable to care for him. After it was sorted out and when Link was finally allowed to be able to be brought home, his mother continued to stay with them while she recovered enough to go back to her own home. While he was young, she did her best to give plenty of visits, so he saw him mom quite a lot and she absolutely spoiled her little baby boy rotten whenever she saw him. Eventually, though, she had to work harder and harder to support herself, and was often busy with her job. Still, she made time on the weekends and holidays to visit. After a while, her work only piled up more and more and she's be too busy for the weekend, or just be exhausted and promise to see him the next weekend. Eventually, it became every few weekends, then just the occasional long weekend, or just holidays and special events. Sometimes, it became just video chats, phone calls, then just texts. Still, no matter what, Link always made sure to send her something every Mother's Day. He'd always include a heartfelt card, usually slightly-badly-folded watercolour paper with a sweet message and a painting on it, and he'd send her something he'd saved up for or something cozy, maybe his favourite candy, a blanket, or some nice jewelry or perfume. His aunt and uncle have always been his guardians and practically like parents, so it didn't bother him too much most of the time. It was never a secret, of course. He was especially close with his cousin when they were young, and he was probably his best friend. Their relationship drifted and changed over the years, but they're still close. Jamie moved on to middle school before him, and Link bounced from friend group to friend group, hanging out with whoever, until grade five hit. That's when he met Grey, Kishan, and Violet, who easily roped him into their little group. They all seemed to click quickly, begging to go to the same middle school and being practically joined at the hip since.

Link is.. quite cat-like, as you may be able to tell by his intense love of laying in the sun and being pet and cuddled. On top of that, his eyes will constrict into slits at times, and he may or may not purr, especially not in his sleep. He will probably demand your attention. He hasn't really come out to his friends, but they've likely figured it out by now. He's got a fairly fast metabolism, and doesn't gain weight super fast or easily. He's quite insecure about his weight, as well as the dot marking on his face - which he's considered covering up, but if his aunt and uncle knew they'd probably question him nonstop, and they definitely wouldn't appreciate him having makeup, though maybe Jamie would buy him some in the future. He's also mostly insecure about his scar.
