Leader of the Yvutal Leviathans

Profile

The leader of the Leviathans that reside in the cave-city of Yvutal on Ranegus.  A cunning leader and Athauror's father-figure.

Appearance

Typical of all Leviathans, Doros has markings all over his skin that act as the language of his people.  His skin is dark grey, nearly pure black.  His head is adorned with a crest similar to his fins and he also has a singular horn between his nostrils.  His eyes are grey.  He has a deep scar on his upper jaw.

He is adapted for swimming, having a large dorsal fin, tail fin, webbed feet, gills and nostrils that can be sealed whilst swimming.  However, his dorsal fin is severely damaged at the anterior end, which limits his ability to swim somewhat.  But he is still a dangerous predator, with large claws, strong jaws and teeth.

Personality

Doros puts the needs of his people first and foremost - almost everything he does is done in order to protect the community of Leviathans that he leads.  Though compassionate about his people, he is not sentimental, and will do the cruellest things in order to protect them - including executing or driving out those he sees as creating disorder.  He was also extremely harsh on Athauror during his childhood - making him fight and beating him in order to "toughen him up."  Despite this, he does bear affection for his adopted son, and even more for his long time wife, Praetoria.

Relationships

  • All Star-Children - enemies
    • Notably - Sol, who is believed to have battled him.  Aqua, who is his prisoner for a long time.  All members of the Leviathan Hunting Guild, who he sees as a murderous menace to his people.
  • Athauror - adoptive son
  • Praetoria - wife
  • Shirinax - ally

Trivia

  • His dorsal fin was damaged in battle with a Star-child, believed to be Sol.
  • He is not Athauror's biological father and refused to let Athauror refer to him as such.  He has also withheld the names of Athauror's parents from him for unknown reasons.
  • He treated Athauror harshly throughout his childhood, making him fight sea-creatures to toughen him up and chiding any perceived weaknesses - such as crying or showing sympathy to the smaller Leviathans.
  • Although critical of much of what Athauror does, he does show fondness for his adoptive son.
