NANDO FOR SCEPTRE--

Updated Feb. 11, 2017

Sceptre is wonderful.

Nando's always held a deal of admiration and fancy for the pirate lieutenant who drunkenly wandered into his life one day. Sceptre is clever, patient, reasonable, and otherwise enjoyable company, and the friend Nando's had for the longest of his former crew. Nando has never ceased to be grateful for Sceptre rescuing him from an unfortunate situation when they first met.

Nando is shocked and confused from what their relationship has developed into since reuniting, never having thought they would ever have any sort of romantic relationship. It's strange, especially since he still considers Sceptre to be his superior officer, but... it's also wonderful. And terrifying. And what if something happens to Sceptre due to still being employed as a pirate? There are a lot of confused feelings mixed up all together, but Nando cares dearly about Sceptre and is glad to have his friend--and more than a friend, now--back.

SCEPTRE FOR NANDO--

Updated Feb. 12, 2017

Nando is extraordinary.

Sceptre has returned a great deal of admiration and fancy for the pirate boatswain he drunkenly started talking to one day. He's spent many instances just wondering if Nando was even real, especially once he was gone. That gave him dream-like qualities. The man who was perfect in almost every way. The man who was brave, compassionate, capable, and sentimental. He would hear accounts of how he handles women, and feel a pang of such jealousy for it. Nando was desirable, he was sensitive and considerate beyond belief. But Sceptre couldn't have him. That was immoral. Sceptre never really considered Nando to be below him, but was still very aware that their ranks kept them separate as well. When they reunited, Sceptre was outed as DFAB, and despite wanting to tell Nando for a long time, it was a frightening experience. It's something he still wishes he could have done himself, but it would have taken a while to do. He's glad it accelerated things, but it's still strange. They both confessed they've always loved each other, and it was a bittersweet experience. Nando even told Sceptre that he was beautiful, something he seldom hears. Sceptre doesn't feel beautiful, or handsome. He feels like he's stuck somewhere between those two things, because he only asked for what was safe, and not what would make him desirable. He doesn't feel ugly, he just feels bland and forgettable. He feels as though if he didn't have horns or purple eyes, he'd be exceptionally plain. Nobody would pay him any mind at all. He feels as though all of his features of beauty and appeal were erased in favor of passing. It caused him despair in the past, but Nando told him he's always found him beautiful and it's... confusing. He is glad to have Nando back for so many reasons. It's surreal to have your friend back from the dead. He often feels terrible for not knowing Nando was trapped bound to the dragon's cave, but he couldn't have known he was, or what to do to save him.

NANDO FOR ARCANA--

The first time they met, Arcana threw a tree at a human-turned Psavine. Nando also knows that Arcana has done some particularly questionable things in his past, which Nando is sorely disapproving of and disgusted by.

Nando knows Arcana is trying to be a good person and respects him for that, and feels a bit of obligation to try to like him with him being Psavine's fiancé, but all in all... he is not sure how to feel about the dragon.

ARCANA FOR NANDO--

Arcana is a bit ashamed of how he acted when he first met Nando, but circumstances were very overwhelming so tries to not be too hard on himself for it. It's mostly hard to not be hard on yourself when you know everything you've ever done has been completely and utterly unacceptable, but! Moving on.

Arcana isn't completely sure if he trusts Nando. Ini trusts him, so that is good enough reason to, but Nando happens to be a lordly type of magical person and that sort of person just does not sit well with Arcana. He has not displayed himself with the same pretentiousness as other lordly magical people, so Arcana has been making a point to keep himself from doing anything he'd regret.

All in all he is not sure what to think of Nando. He's been okay so far, but they haven't interacted terribly much to make a better judgement.

NANDO FOR BASSI--

Bassi was one of Nando's personal favourite mates before death, and one of Nando's closest friends. Having chosen to take this feisty stowaway into the crew instead of throwing him off the ship, Nando felt a good deal of responsibility towards him and took Bassi metaphorically under his wings while they worked together, and otherwise spent a good deal of time with him and spoke openly with Bassi about many things. (Nando also got enjoyment from being able to get away with more pestering of the intimidating man than other people did, to Bassi's misfortune.)

Nowadays, Nando is glad to have his dearly-held friend back, and feels a sense of pride for Bassi having been his successor as boatswain and head of discipline. He's also very glad Bassi does not seem to be so mistrusting of Nando as some are, due Nando's ties to devils and whatnot.

Nando does feel a good deal of shame that Bassi has seen him as such a sobbing, terrified wreck over something minor when they first met again. It isn't proper for the former head of discipline to be seen in such a manner! But at least Bassi has not expressed much judgement... so far.

The current biggest fear Nando has in relation to Bassi is that Bassi will die from his dangerous occupation after Nando only just got him back. It would be far too easy for something to happen...

(Feb 2019): Bassi is Nando's big, grumpy-faced, huggable sweetheart and Nando loves him dearly.

They first met when Bassi stowed away on the ship Le Petit Oiseau to escape a bad situation. Nando took Bassi metaphorically under his wing and eventually promoted Bassi to the ranking of one of his mates. Nando adored the fussy-but-sweet man, and spent a good deal of time with him when he could, becoming close friends and speaking openly about many things. (Nando also got enjoyment from being able to get away with more pestering of the intimidating man than other people did, to Bassi's misfortune.)

At first, Nando allowed his sweetheart, Sceptre, to become Bassi's sweetheart. This arrangement evolved into Nando also being Bassi's sweetheart, as well.

Nando missed Bassi terribly and is glad to be able to have his dear friend again, although impatiently awaits the day Bassi retires so that he can have him back properly.

NANDO FOR CALAMY--

Nando's feelings on Calamy are complicated.

On one hand, Calamy seems to be a good lad and was friends with Nando's adopted daughter, which is all good. On the other hand, however, their first meeting ended terribly and was both terrifying and shameful to Nando--not that Calamy had any ill intent, but Nando does not prefer to be put in such a vulnerable situation... and with the grandchild of Nando's killer, no less.

It is truly unfortunate things went as they did, and unfortunately fear and shame are not simple to put at ease.

CALAMY FOR NANDO--

Calamy has so many conflicting feelings about Nando. Primarily awe, as this is the famed former boatswain that helped capture La Llorona in the first place! It was just ... extreeeeme levels of unfortunate coincidence that Nando had to die in a dragon's fire. But not just any dragon's fire! GREEN dragon's fire! The same color as Calamy's.

He wishes he was more aware beforehand; there was never a problem with lighting lanterns on the ship before. Well, people got uncomfortable, but he's never made a grown man cry over it before. It was his job, he had the fire magic!! Why waste tinder boxes! Calamy really admires Nando, and feels very bad for what happened and feels like if it never did, they would get along very well. He was friendly, dorky, and a pleasant conversation. The guilt for triggering Nando's trauma is what caused Calamy to leave La Llorona, even though he loves that ship dearly.

NANDO FOR ELCY--

Elcycinu is ... interesting.

Through observation, Nando has come to the conclusion that this aloof-seeming, rather terrifying individual might just care about people a whole lot more than they let on. As much havoc on the worlds as they may wreck, they seem to provide equal amounts of help to anyone reasonable they come in contact with, and he finds this curious.

NANDO FOR INI--

Iniquitous, quite frankly, is the only reason Nando is alive today. For this fact, Nando is exceedingly grateful, and he is grateful for all the care his "futher" (father/mother) has provided for him and is glad to be able to call him both a friend and family member. Iniquitous's dorky tendencies make him good company and someone Nando enjoys as a person a great deal.

Having someone so powerful looking out for him is appreciated and does make a lot of things better, but after being alive for a bit, the fact he is bound to someone quite SO powerful is pretty overwhelming. Nando would not admit this to anyone, though.

INI FOR NANDO--

Iniquitous absolutely adores Nando, and feels very responsible for him. He certainly has a great deal of fear for being so close to a genespri, since Iniquitous seems to eventually lose the trust of all of his genespri and it is unfortunate that Nando has been in the company of time gods frequently, as they tend to be very rambly about the personal lives of others. Iniquitous has some things in his past that he is not proud of, due to having to answer to the questionable whims of higher beings and due to trying to situate himself in the right area of the worlds for his job.

He worries about Nando a lot, especially because of how difficult it is going to be for him to avoid fire, and he wishes he could just wipe his death from his memory entirely.

NANDO FOR PANEO--

Paneo is foreign, dorky, and adorable, and Nando pities him and his starless, lifeless world immensely. Nando also finds the whole doppelgänger business very strange and rather fascinating, so Paneo's mere existence is just a bit exciting to him. Nando would like to know far more about the tall little human and intends to visit him one day, hopefully.

PANEO FOR NANDO--

Nando is basically an ornamental Amando.

This whole doppelgänger business is really strange and overwhelming, but visiting an entire different universe, being able to see stars, and meeting an actual vampire are good for bragging rights! Overall, Paneo is very appreciative of how hospitable Nando was for him while he was spontaneously left in his company.

NANDO FOR PSAV--

Nando's opinion of Psavine has changed a great deal in recent years.

In the past, he found Psavine to be nothing more than an aggravating bane for his work as head of discipline on the pirate ship, La Llorona. Whenever Psavine was around, there was no keeping anyone in order, and you cannot really argue with what a devil decides to do. Psavine also insisted on flirting with him, and Nando was not really in the mood for it.

Nando still wishes Psavine would stop trying to flirt with him, especially given that they are now brothers, but has better toleration for his childish ways. Psavine seems to be a very helpful and compassionate individual, and Nando appreciates this, and finds him to be rather precious.

NANDO FOR TADD--

Nando doesn't terribly much about Tadd, though does recall seeing him around on the ship (and a couple of times breaking up fights between Tadd and other crewmembers). It's nice to see a familiar face still around on the ship, though, and since Tadd is one of Bassi's mates, Nando inherently finds him curious and would like to know more about him.

NANDO FOR THEN--

Then is an eccentric, intimidating dork. Nando does not know him very well, but does find the Time God to be amusingly dorky... it's just hard to know how to interact with someone of such a high status as being a God of Time. Nonetheless, he would like to get to know Then a little better.

NANDO FOR TZOFI--

Tzofi has thus far proven to have sass, a flirtatious side, and her status as Boatswain's mate is a position that takes only a hard-working sailor. This are all good things to Nando's perspective, and he enjoys time spent in her company and would like to become better-acquainted.

Nando's a bit taken by this beautiful lady, though her status as a mortal on a pirate ship is worrisome.

TZOFI FOR NANDO--

Tzofi adores Nando, it's not very common to find an endearing pirate (or former pirate), and he's interesting to boot!

He's proven to be safe company, which is interesting considering he's one of the most dangerous types of creatures she's ever met! Made even rarer by the fact he's a genespri to a very powerful devil. That's pretty neat.

She would love to become more acqainted with him, and won't readily admit it, but is a bit taken by him as well.

NANDO FOR BINEY--

Nando was shocked to learn he had any descendants, much less meet one. Nando likes his several-greats grandson, however, and thinks he's a precious dork and is proud of Biney's commitment to Hiddensea's officers.

BINEY FOR NANDO--

Biney was shocked but also excited to learn he had a surprise and still living ancient relative. Nando has many qualities that make him interesting and novel, and that makes Biney very glad to be related to him. He certainly likes the bragging rights.

ESTIS FOR NANDO--

Nando is nice and they pounded flowers together. Estis is a simple fox with simple needs, and one of those needs is bountiful social interaction, so having another person in the family is perfect in his book.

Plus, they can be flying foxy sliders together.
