Malzarot used to be a soul hunter. One of the oldest. He was also  very talented necromancer and very skilled at dark magic of the dead.

Through his dark art he got sympathy of a young soul hunter named Azok

Malzarot was teaching Azok and then Malzarot and Azok became friends.

But  there was one unpleasant thing about Malzarot and that thing was that he liked experimenting. This wouldn't be so bad but he was using souls of mortals for his experiments and for the soul hunters it's forbidden to use souls for personal purpose. The soul hunters supposed to seek for lost souls and bring them to Underworld for judging but Malzarot kept them for himself time to time.

When Azok found out this about Malzarot, he tried to talk with Malzarot and stop him but Malzarot wasn't willing to stop.

Malzarot was betrayed by Azok and for his acts he was sent to Hell where he was imprisoned for centuries.

Malzarot  wasn't angry about this at all. He didn't even defy and he went to Hell  without any problems. It wasn't a loss for him. He saw this as a new opportunity...

After centuries Malzarot was released but he couldn't come back to Underworld. He had to stay in Hell forever.

When Malzarot was released, he started with new experiments but this time he was using souls of angelmons. Small creatures born from light of hell fire.

Malzarot was trying to create a pure evil creature and by using angelmon soul, Hell weed sprout and dark magic, he created Diablo.

After that Malzarot created Diablo, he disappeared and nobody knows where...

Malzarot  was calm, even-tempered and mysterious demon. He has never showed his anger or disappointment. Other demons were pretty concerned by this behavior and didn't like his company but this never bothered Malzarot.  He was kind of introvert and he actually was pleased by this. Malzarot  was also very intelligent and everything he did was thought out.  Sometimes it seemed that all what happened was a part of his plan and  maybe it really was...
