Early Life

Violet Night is the firstborn to Obsidia, a hippogriff. Unlike her sister, Violet Night could care less about her nonexistant, unmentionable father. Her entire world was her younger sister and mother. From a young age she lived with her family with the Seaponies, often mingling with griffons who lived on a sea cliff. Again differing from her sister, Violet Night preferred to be on the surface due to the abundance of paper books to read. Violet was often teased for her looks, though she learned to ignore it. On the off-chance her sister was present for the bullying, Violet Night did get some cathartic satisfaction from her young sister going off on them. Though Pastel Dancer Violet Night was introduced to the merpony twins Aquadust and Oceanstar, and introduced into music as a hobby. Violet quickly picked up the electric guitar, finding her claws to be particularly useful in playing a stringed instrument. That's when both sibling pairs got together and formed a punk-rock band 'Ocean Stone'.

Band Life

At first they just played locally, but they decided to invest all of their meager wages from gigs into lecklaces that would allow them a more comfortable transition to their land-forms. They then went all over Equestria, playing wherever anyone would hire them until they got quote the cult following. Though not incredibly well-known, they are enjoyed all over the continent.
