Born as the youngest daughter of Cherry Pie and Dewdrop Dazzle, Star Pie grew up very sheltered, but also very loved. Neither of her parents wanted her to come to harm, so she was kept out of harms way until she turned 13 and "broke out" (aka snuck on board of a spaceship during a diplomatic mission and made friends). After that, Star was allowed to travel (with an adult, of course) and slowly started to come into her own as a moon/sleep goddess.

Alicorns age depending on how old they feel mentally, and as long as no one forces them to grow up, they can take eons to grow up. Star was never pressured to grow up, so she has been "13" for quite some time now. She will, eventually, grown up rapidly because of story reasons, but for now shes just a sweet little kid.

While she will take some time to become a "proper" bearer of the element of laughter, she is already wonderful in making friends, beign friendly and always making people smile.
