Crewmember: Ignazio Keravnos

BIOGRAPHY:

Ignazio is a police officer who was inducted into the crew as a legal requirement; he was placed with the business to make sure no dubiously legal missions were taken (that's the official explanation anyway, but he's actually there to specifically monitor Azriel due to their criminal record).  He's very serious about his job and goes above and beyond to save anyone in trouble, but it's always with a dramatic flair that lead people to see him as a goofball.  He's kind and reliable, but it's these qualities that put him at odds with his occupation.

After a particularly nasty accident during one mission, he lost his eye, ear, and arm, and found himself sharing his body with a brain parasite that calls itself "Grougranak."  Grougranak occasionally possesses him, creating a nuisance for the crew.  Ignazio himself is autistic and sensory sensitive, so the incident was terrifying at first, especially when Grougranak tried to talk to him or take over his  body...but over time, Grougranak has seemed to calm down, and meanwhile Ignazio has embraced his newfound cyborg identity with the same bombastic enthusiasm he's known for.

Ignazio was much different as a child than he is now.  He used to be extremely shy, having a hard time engaging with people he didn't know personally.  He often relied on his parents; they loved him dearly and didn't mind his differences.  They were both police officers, which inspired Ignazio to take up the mantle.  He tried his hardest to overcome his social problems as he studied for the job, and just when he thought things were turning around, his parents were murdered, and the culprit escaped without a trace.

Thoroughly shaken, Ignazio became obsessed with tracking down the murderer.  His bombastic "superhero" act is more like a cover to hide his anguish.  Believing wholeheartedly that everything has the potential to have a reasonable conclusion, Ignazio holds onto any piece of evidence he can find.  His mission, combined with his position of power, could serve as a corrupting force as he becomes more focused with solving the mystery and less focused on Snow & Arrow.  Recently, it's come to light that his parents on the job might have been far more brutal than the kind and loving image they had at home.  Ignazio's foundations are shaking, but he has trouble realizing that he needs help.

FUN FACTS:

He opted out of getting synthetic skin for his cybernetic parts because the robotics "looked cooler."

He makes overdramatic motions and paces around when he's deep in thought.  He gets distracted and deep in thought...a lot.

He had trouble in school.

He's an only child, though he kind of wishes he had a younger sibling he could protect.

He majored in criminal justice and has references for laws throughout each sector of the galaxy, making his knowledge perfect for gauging potential missions.
