Personality
Keelie generally has a very childlike nature, even though she's not actually a guu anymore. She still loves to play and have fun above all things, and she's friendly and trusting to a fault. She's usually just as happy spending time by herself as with others as long as she's doing something she loves. Her favorite pastimes include swimming and splashing in the water; collecting various toys and other things to spruce up her cave; exploring and having adventures; and making friends. She often skips blythely into trouble without realizing it because she forgets to consider any possible danger, so it's fortunate for her that she's made some good friends to watch out for her. They can get annoyed at her because of it, but she is so sweet and innocent that they can't stay mad at her for long.
Design Notes
- Feel free to draw her arms and legs as just stubs without the little knobs on the end. I don't really like them and prefer to draw her without them myself.
- Even though Keelie didn't make a mouth on her mask, she sometimes manipulates it to create one temporarily if she wants to do something that requires one, like eating or playing a musical instrument. If she doesn't feel like making a mouth, she just puts the food or whatever it is under the bottom of her mask.
Trivia
- Lives in a little cave behind a waterfall.
- Generally trusts and wants to befriend everyone, which sadly makes her an easy target for someone up to no good.
- Amused and delighted by any small thing, no matter how small or simple.
- Pretty good at origami, especially making boats and hats.

History
Keelie doesn't remember a lot of her early past as it all kind of blends together for her, but she knows she found her little cave behind the waterfall when she was still a little guu. She can hardly think of what it would be like not to have it and to spend all her time filling it up with great things to make it feel like home. The days went by much the same for a long time: get up, play in the water, go exploring, find something nice to bring home, find it a spot in the cave, rest. Then wake up and do it all again the next day. Things only really changed when Keelie finally started making friends.
Sorrel was Keelie's very first friend, and the most important - he saved her on the day they met. Keelie always loved playing in the water, but at first she was not a good swimmer. This wasn't usually an issue as she liked to splash around in the shallows and never went where her feet couldn't reach the bottom. However, one day she was splashing in an unfamiliar river and she didn't know there was a drop-off near her. She slipped, fell into the current and was swept away. She couldn't fight her way back to the bank and might have ended up going all the way out to sea if Sorrel hadn't been flying nearby and heard her cries for help. With great effort, he lifted her from the river and flew her to shore. Keelie was very grateful and has considered the birdlike Guumi one of her best friends ever since.
In addition to Sorrel, Keelie has several other friends these days, and the more mature ones among them tend to look out for her as they know her playful and naive nature can sometimes lead her into trouble. In hopes of keeping her busy with something constructive, they've been encouraging her to start earning merits to build a shrine, which she'd never thought about before, being so content with her little cave. She thinks it sounds like fun, though, so she means to get started and build the shrine right outside the cave, like an extension of her home. She hopes to have many interesting adventures on her shrine path!

Dislikes
- The dark; she can handle it if she has to, but she doesn't like it.
- Others not wanting to be friends; it rarely happens, but when it does, she can't understand it.
- Boredom, though she usually finds ways to amuse herself.
- Being left out/missing out on group fun.
- Thunder; lightning, on the other hand, is pretty cool
Sorrel is a very bookish and creative Guumi who usually likes spending time alone. Becoming friends with Keelie was very unexpected for him, and not all that welcome at first. For a while, he only kept hanging around with her because he was worried she might get into trouble again, but over time he realized she's been teaching him to loosen up and have more fun. Keelie thinks Sorrel is nice and very entertaining when he "uses big words" and enjoys dragging him on adventures with her and their other friends.
Gumbie is a calm, gentle, and softspoken Guumi who enjoys food, crafts and drinking tea in front of a warm fire. He often ends up accompanying Keelie on her adventures, even when he knows it's a bad idea, because she's adorable and he finds it hard to disappoint her by refusing or dissuading her from going herself. At least then he can keep an eye one her and make sure she's careful. When possible, he tries to distract from her more unwise plans with a story and tea and biscuits instead.
Farfalla, also known as Farli, is a young Guumi who loves butterflies. Her personality is somewhat similar to Keelie's in that they are both rather childlike and love to frolic and play, so they get along well and spend lots of time together. However, Farli is not quite as naive and trusting as Keelie, being of a little more cautious frame of mind, so she, too, looks out for her friend much as the older Guumi do.
Rascal is a little Guu who is known for being rambunctious and mischievous. Since he's still a baby, he gives Keelie someone to feel like she can teach and protect and who will look up to her, like a little brother or something. She more often leads him into trouble, too, though. Rascal doesn't mind trouble and rather enjoys it within reason, so he's happy enough to follow along. He has no family and is hoping to find one among Keelie and her friends.
